A few reasons why we decided against a built block is: 1. Iron sleeved blocks are heavier 2. We do not want to run low compression plus lots of boost as most if not all supercharger system are not capable of producing too much boost, and we do not want to run a turbo either 3. We could obviously run higher compression piston in a built block, but we feel the stock block is more then enough 4. We wanted to keep the engine with OEM parts to keep the OEM reliability. The spoon stroker kit is basically consisted of stock F22C rods and cranks, and JDM spec oem piston with the slightly higher compression (11.8cr) 5. This setup has never been done before so we wanted to experiment with it 6. Cost and time: to get an engine block built will cost a lot more and will take awhile to build from a competent shop from the states |

I measured the pulley, and it is a 100mm pulley. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3264/...7ed4bf1573.jpg Powered by KRAFTWERKS! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/...d644a055ab.jpg Got some HONDATA goodies too! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3122/...3d4766d761.jpg Hondata Intake Manifold gasket: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3133/...2842c2bc6b.jpg Synchronic BOV http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3254/...3686faef88.jpg PuddyMod ETD mount. A very nice and sturdy piece!! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3081/...21baef3d3b.jpg AND....we took the stock seats out... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3237/...073548f92d.jpg And we are putting these in!!! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3227/...9f10cf388d.jpg Yes...those are stock 997 Turbo seats.... :D Okay just kidding.....we just happened to have a pair lying around after the owner just left them there as garbage...... That's it for today! |
sweet I'll take those Porsche seats for my computer seat haha |
F that, ill take them for my future VW Beetle... Am I thinking too far ahead? ha |
Should be sick!!!! Glad to see you guys got a good diff. The whole blowing the diff thing really made me hate that car. Back when I owned one the best solution was $4,995 for a 240SX diff swap. The Comptech diffs still blew up! I remember blowing my diff for like the 2nd or 3rd time while cruising in Maple Ridge and coasting it perfectly to my g/f's driveway. |

and i dont take them both! =P |
You should upgrade the red start button to a yellow engage button. |
Does Cusco or Kaaz make differentials for the s2000? maybe a clutch-type LSD would be better to hold big power. |
Yes Cusco and Kaaz both do make diffs for the S2000, but that's not where the stock diff is not holding up. The problem is in the housing itself. |
Nice project! Is the car running yet? I'm curious to see how the Racelogic traction control performs. |
now that's an interesting list of randomly jumbled build parts/choices... all sponsored parts, I guess. |
So will I see this car at the mission open track events in 09? Looking forward to running against it. |
Any Updates?!?! |
cool built !!! what's the interior plastic coating for? |
Adding a thicker headgasket and slowing the burn rate down is about the worst thing you could do. It will be more prone to ping even more despite the lower compression ratio. The S2000 that T1-Race did is making 700hp on a stock bottom end and stock compression ratio on 116 octane. It's is a turbo motor though of course. Obviously being able to actually control the boost curve makes a big difference and is a huge advantage. I agree with alananananaananana overall, kinda random parts choices to be honest. But ya, sponsored parts maybe. Should be a cool car anyways. |
Very nice!! Will be a fun car when complete! |
ELOOOOOOOO CLEM |
verry nice! |
I doubt this car will put down more power than the $$ white s2k. |

hmm, my guess for the selection of parts is they are the best parts he can get at the time and availability? |
