Working as a Business Analyst for one of the world's largest financial institutions. Came to the realization that I've pretty much reached the top pay tier possible without having a degree and/or designation. With any luck I'll be starting my CGA courses shortly and I'll end up in a few years with a BBA in accounting.

How much do you make? My accounting teacher told me the average CA or CGA Accountant makes 165,000 in BC.

Not that much yet but hopefully not too much longer ;)

just curious...are there any CA or CGA that are actually passionate about their careers?

I'm still young..and most of my peers that wanna do it seem to be after the paper chase. So what if it ends up being a really dullll job?

Can you give me a figure? This is the internet, it's not like your name is attached to anything.

lol.. I looked at the RFD career forums and it almost seems like no one there likes doing their accounting job at the big 4. i'm guessing the worst part is working towards your CA when all you're doing is auditing and auditing and auditing and...

Gave my 2 weeks notice when I had an offer from RBC years ago and the VP of operations asked what he needed to do to keep me there. I told him there was a local position I applied for a few weeks earlier that hadn't been filled and I hadn't heard anything back yet. 30 minutes later I had an interview, and an hour after that I got the job. ;)

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Cat M. Apprentice..

I have 5.5 months left in my 2.5 year apprenticeship. Went through BCIT to get my diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Cat. M. When I was in high school, I knew i wanted to work in the aviation industry since grd 11. Even before I graduated BCIT, I got hired to work for a local MRO (maintenance repair organization). In 2 years I've worked on different types of large aircraft.

I love the aspect of working on planes, and figuring out how things work. Most of the time, when I am not pulling panels off, work is fun. I also have decent hours.
