My buddy used to build one about half the size in his yard every year (still fucking massive tho) and it was a giant snowman sitting down with its legs out in front of him. It looked awesome and was very clever.

JHuJHu 12-24-2008 12:04 PM

how do they put the huge snow balls on top of each other?

urrh 12-24-2008 01:10 PM

lift with their legs

moomooCow 12-24-2008 02:32 PM

that is fucking awesome hah

xyz123 12-24-2008 02:45 PM

cool, imagine you install a door and dig yourself inside, then you would have a Frosty The Snowman Igloo

Culture_Vulture 12-24-2008 03:21 PM

I bet if we make all the RS'ers gather together we can make one so big that one of it's toes will be the size of somebody's car

You forget the average strength of a teenager who spends 14+ hours a day in front of a computer. Doubt we'll get one larger than Dolly Parton's left breast.

it would be hilarious if u built it in the middle of the road

he just patched it enough to make it look like snow balls.

just climb up with big pieces and just patch.

he probably used a ladder at some point hahah

iam_dan 12-25-2008 05:43 AM

maybe he started it out as a large block and took off chunks to make the body formation...most likely didnt roll it up to stack

After watching this, me and my friends were inspired to make one. Obviously not as tall but at the end it stood about 10 ft. It's at Kensington (33rd/Knight), at the top of the hill by the NW baseball diamond. You can see it if you drive you're driving southbound. I'll see if I can get pics from my friends camera.
