| Neighbors tree fell on my house
I did search up the 2 other topics regarding the same situation but in both cases, they turned into a flamefest and I don't think there was a true definite answer. So anyways...
My neighbors tree which is clearly on their property line fell into the side of my house. The damage seems minimal but its a pretty damn big tree leaning against my house. My parents talked to the neighbors and they pretty much tried to deny that its on their property line when its pretty obvious it is. Any suggestions as to what to do?

You should file a claim under your home insurance policy. Your home insurance policy picks up the damage, sends out a restoration company to fix it and then goes after your neighbor ('s insurance policy) for the damages.

You should report this to your insurance broker/company ASAP. An adjuster will be able help you with the situation.
Your adjuster will likely determine if there are damages to your house (roof, fascia/gutter, etc...) and if they are under or above your homeowner policy's deductible.
If you pursue a claim, your insurance company should remove the tree leaning against your house to facilitate repair, however, the cost of removing the tree debris out of your property may not be covered under most homeowner policy.
hope this helps.

Which city are you in? If you're in Vancouver you can go to the cities website and go to their interactive maps page. They have fairly up to date photos and you can turn on a layer for property lines which should give you a good indication if the tree is on their property or yours.
Like others have said though, take a lot of photos and file a claim with your home owners insurance.
