What do you expect when you eat at fine dining establishments then?

Actually, I felt okay. I wasn't hungry after nor was I full.
Eating and dining doesn't have to be about stuffing yourself silly..it should be about enjoying the food and its flavours etc ..right?

Anyone planning on going to Joe Fortes please beware. I went there on Thursday and had their oyster sampler appetizer. On Saturday, I had the worst food poisoning i've ever experienced in my life. Today is day 4 and i'm still out of commission. Two others I know who also had the same appetizer on either the same day or the day after had the same symptoms I did. I guess that's the risk you take by eating raw oysters!

I'm a bit disappointed because I did quite enjoy the dinner a lot. The tuna was a little dry on the outside but the mac and cheese was delicious!

I have another DOV reservation tomorrow night at Lift, hope I have my appetite back by then.

Well I was going to send them an email just to let them know what happened so they can take more precautions and not get more customers sick but haven't yet. I don't think i'd sue, that's a little much.

^ all the restaurants that serve raw shellfish have a advisory posted on the menu or a note on the menu saying "there is a risk consuming raw/uncooked shellfish"

Went there with friends. Tried everything, but the Striploin. It was okay. Service was mediocre...
Food was just average. Nothing special. 6.5-7/10?
One of the quickest dinners I've had. Haha.

Went to Yew at four seasons last sunday.

Appy: Sablefish with miso, the fish was prepared perfectly the fish was just done and had the soft flaky texture and the miso or soy sauce gave it a sweet aftertaste.
Main: Angus sirloin, i had to pay 12 bucks more for it and i was expecting a 6 ounce steak, when a steak arrive it was massive at least 10 ounce. It was done to my liking and the fat was mouth watering. The steak was already removed from the bone and made cutting it a lot easier. Came with bone marrow mash potato and grilled wild oyster mushroom and spinach, the spinach was insanely salty.
Dessert: Chocolate thing, tasted like almond roca, which was a pleasant surprise.
had a bottle of wine that the server had suggested with the food.
I think it was a riseling with the fish and a merlot with the steak.

food: 9.5/10
Service: 9/10

I had a couple of oysters & i'm fine. Maybe he was just unlucky or maybe he's allergic to something.

Not allergic. We must have had a bad batch!! 3/4 of us got sick, and the one that didn't get sick, didn't eat any oysters

Edit: Sorry for making this thread go a little OT. I'm a huge fan of DOV, so please dine on!!!!

I didn't get sick from the oysters, but they weren't especially fresh or good tasting.
