Japan Video!

Hopefully I can get away with this double post (i posted in photography, not many go there)

Anyways I took a ton of pictures while I was visiting japan. I decided to put them all together in one video. It's fairly intense, with flickring and flashing and all that so if you're sensitive to that kind of thing you've been warned!

I hope you like it!

eric that was incredible! i guess i've been living under a rock all this time but i've never seen a presentation/montage like this before... yeah it was a bit long but there were so many good pics. had a bit of a seizure coming on with all the flashy bits but i watched it again anyway

how long was your trip by bicycle, and how much ground/time did you cover traveling that way?

thanks for the comments, yeah it might be a little long, i think theres a shorter version of the song out there, maybe i can do another edit.

thumper: we did the bike thing 2x, once in tono which we rented for 20 dollars for the day. we were able to see a fair bit of the town, it was really nice because the weather was great and the landscape was beautiful.

the second place was Usuki, Ōita which they rented out bikes for free! we were able to cover a lot of distance and have the freedom to stop where we liked. theres where we saw the really old Buddha statues

hi5-ive: i use a pentax k20d

we werent great at japanese, but we tried to learn some with rossetta stone and we had the phrasebook.. all in all it was ok, we got a across what we wanted. The people living in the more remote areas were a lot more eager to try to communicate and one of the best times we had was in a small rice farming town called tono. The japanese are a very kind, beautiful people.

thanks dutch. i dream of doing what you did there. was just curious as to whether they would even try to communicate... i know some japanese people here visitng who won't even try because they are too embarrased at their english...!
