like the title says, at least 5 other guys in front of me did too by a stupid pot hole, and the city workers come and say they fill the hole every two hours, blah end rant/

exact location: going east on Kingsway past the boundary intersection the huge crater in the middle!

p.s also hit another pot hole and popped my spare tire!!!! aRRGGHH

PDKGD3 01-06-2009 01:00 AM

Is it the one just past boundary heading towards Metrotown?
Theres one in the middle lane right before the merge from the right, almost got myself into a situation had I been going any faster.

Vansterdam 01-06-2009 01:14 AM

thats fuked

jing 01-06-2009 01:16 AM

There's a few pretty badass potholes going Eastbound on Highway #1 in the left lane.

Alphamale 01-06-2009 01:16 AM

Good thing I learned about that one in my mom's van. If it was my car, it would have been toast! That thing is a fucking crater!

GFunk 01-06-2009 01:54 AM

Hit that thing today, luckily nothing happened but Alphamale took the words out of my mouth. That thing is seriously like a crater

yau1225 01-06-2009 02:01 AM

EmOne 01-06-2009 02:08 AM

Hit that thing last week, you won't see it coming at night. It's fucking huge. Right lane going towards metrotown right in the middle of the intersection

TypeRNammer 01-06-2009 02:22 AM

Which side of Boundary were you on? Depending on which side, get the City of Vancouver/Burnaby to pay for the repair/replacement.

ghosty 01-06-2009 06:06 AM

burnaby

impactX 01-06-2009 06:07 AM

I hope you took some pictures...

Has anyone ever had a successful claim for damages due to a pothole? I was reading the Metro and there was an article about claiming pothole damages and the guy from Burnbaby city hall says there are always lots of claims filed but most are unsuccessful.

RFlush 01-06-2009 06:47 AM

This reminds me of the thread about the big pot hole on King Ed which ended up being another Si_Ed is gay thread.

I bet only 1/200 rs people will remember that thread.

Anjew 01-06-2009 07:08 AM

take a picture of the pot hole in its full unfixed glory then attach it with the complaint... i heard it might take months to get a reimbursement if your claim gets approved

hotjoint 01-06-2009 07:11 AM

glad i never drive there :)

Berzerker 01-06-2009 07:36 AM

I was telling my co-worker about this hole yesterday. It was on News 730 as a warning to watch out for.

Berz out.

Speaking of potholes, the one on hastings near MAC's/Holdom got filled, but very shitty. and still bumpy at 60+

The one at willingdon, in the left lane just past brentwood mall got filled, smooth

The one on parker just after you turn from willingdon (eastbound) got filled, but with rocks and snow

The other one on hastings snags both lanes (just past the first one i mentioned), not filled.

KO7 01-06-2009 09:47 AM

I vaguely remember this kingsway and boundary pothole. Is it on the right side of the middle lane? ie., you dodge it by going slightly over to the merge lane if there's someone to your left at that precise moment?

ghosty 01-06-2009 11:07 AM

good news, so my tire wasnt popped except for my spare, the rim bent, but i bent it back into place and works fine! saved a couple hundred, got it done on Mitchell island! by a couple welders and a hammer with a piece of wood!

the pot hole is around 20cm deep

i was on the left lane, and the suv's tire to my right was sunk to about where the rim was.
