price?

dai3yuen 01-09-2009 05:57 AM

About $900...

But in all fairness to Sony, they never claimed the P-Series to be a 'netbook'....

l4d2_sarge 01-09-2009 06:47 AM

thats nice where can u get it

twitchyzero 01-09-2009 07:56 AM

looks like a PSP with keyboard
1.33Hz Atom?

If it's sold for $900 with 128GB SSD it might be somewhat worth it..but that price is probably for the entry level HDD

.Renn.Sport 01-09-2009 09:17 AM

i dont like those mouse

I believe it's the dual-core Atom, not the run-of-the-mill N270 that everyone has right now.

It's a single core and it's running Vista

That things way overpriced.

Sony always uses higher quality components then most other companies imo though

as well, this looks 100 times better then the majority of those stupid e-pc's out there, sony always takes it in the looks department, and u can debate about the price all day long, but people will definately buy it

from anandtech... lol
if you want a stylish netbook or you love sony. this is the one :)

m3thods 01-09-2009 03:19 PM

i personally think the HP Mini is more stylish. cleaner imo and at 8" what's the keyboard size? the hp is 92% which is a godsend compared to the others.

hal0g0dv2 01-09-2009 07:34 PM

shit that looks kinda cool, getting tired of carrying my pc around in my pocket

Slif 01-10-2009 12:12 AM

this is basically Sony's old Picturebook body with an updated CPU - just with a $1500 reduction in price

I haven't been impressed with Sony's recent line of machines - Sony + cost-cutting = as good as Acer

We've had soooooo many DOA's that we've essentially stopped selling them

Mancini 01-11-2009 10:22 PM

Sony's had a "netbook" for years. This one's less than half the price. Now only slightly over double the price of the competition.

rubencruz 01-12-2009 10:26 AM

looking at the specs i dont even know how the hec this can run vista such low ram

Iceman_2K 01-12-2009 11:59 AM

well, running vista, and running vista well with aero, are two different issues.

Eclypz 01-12-2009 05:21 PM

it just wouldn't be Sony if it weren't double the price :p
I like it...but Sony really priced themselves out of the market with this one.

Can't wait till the HP Mini 2133 refresh comes out. Now that's a netbook to wait for.

The 2140? Looks OK, but the 16:9 aspect ratio sucks. I want my vertical pixels, dammit! :lol
