safest FREE place to download music?
 

I haven't downloaded music in YEARS, so I'm not too sure what I should be using...any suggestions as to what site is the safest? (ie: no viruses) and free? I used to use Limewire and never had much of a problem with it, but my g/f's comp just kicked the bucket 'cuz of some nasty virus it got off of there...

idk, i havent been downloading music either :S

ususally, i just find a website that hosts the music and find the orignal url using page source:D

I really like frostwire for single songs

search the album name followed by the term "rapidshare." like this "in rainbows rapidshare" it's a direct download, no torrenting or anything required and it's fast.

Yup, this is the best method combined with music blogs. You can also search "$$$$$$$$$$", "speedyshare" and other storage sites but I recommend you find some music blogs because you’ll be downloading new releases everyday and don’t have to waste time searching the net for music.

I'm still amazed people waste time with torrents when sites like rapidshare are much quicker and safer and have huge amounts of content available.
