A great computer shopping experience...

www.swiftgamers.com

I decided to order a new laptop, an Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with a 2.4GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 160gb disk, and Bluetooth... my first Thinkpad without a IBM sticker (this is my forth Thinkpad and they've been the only laptop that I've been unable to kill within a year). Found swiftgamers on shopbot.ca, they didn't charge PST and had free shipping. Since their site sucks, I decided to call to confirm part numbers and got a real person without an accent on the second ring... he confirmed what I was I after and said "If you order in the next 20 minutes, you'll get it tomorrow". I didn't believe him, but ordered within 20 minutes anyways since I was already halfway there...

Purolator shows up at my house, in the freakin boonies (Sooke) with my dull new laptop at 11am. I'm freakin impressed! For $200-300 cheaper than MSRP, and a good $500-600 cheaper than NCIX who never seems to change their pricing when Lenovo drops their MSRP... cheaper than if I'd gone the IBM employee pricing route.

I'm impressed and will certainly go back there in 20 months for my next Thinkpad.

I hate FS...ever since Best Buy has sprouted up all over the place (and I know they're basically the same company) I go to BB...for some reason I've had MUCH better experiences there...plus they have the same price matching policy as FS

I love my Lenovo for reasons unrelated to what kind of product it is.
Start forming your realationship with a local computer shop now.
That being said, good luck and gods speed.

Nice to hear a positive review of any kind. Very refreshing.

I use shopbot for all my price matching... That way I can avoid shipping costs as well, great site.
