ive got 4 friends in israel, a mom her 2 sons and a daughter. one son is still in the IDF and one finished his term off last year.

the only thing that bothers me about this situation is the bleeding hearts on both sides that have never set foot in israel have no friends there and have no real connection atall other than what the media tells them, and that this has taken so goddamn long. way way to many innocent israelis have died because some people jsut cant play nice.

It's funny because at least one aspect of the situation in Gaza is like that. If Israel kills a dozen Hamas operatives, it will be on the news and people will be appauled, Shocked! But if Hamas kills a dozen Fatah operatives, house arrests many more, and shoots a few in the knees, no one says a thing. It's sad because everyday so many atrocities are committed because of absolutely nothing. Tribal killings, Hamas vs. Fatah, honor killings, just in Gaza alone, never mind the entire middle east, and no one says a thing. But if Israel kills civilians because Hamas operatives decided to shoot rockets from populated areas ( or booby trap elementary schools http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satelli...=1231424932546) it enrages people. I'm not saying i support the death of innocent people, I am absolutely 100% against it, with all my heart, but drop the double standard. I mean 30 tribal leaders were killed on Jan 2nd by a suicide bomber in Iraq and nobody gave a fuck, and that shit happens daily over there (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/03/wo...st/03iraq.html). I don't see people protesting that.

And your claim that you know more than I ever will because I'm too stupid or close minded, that's an empty claim. First of all, I'm not stupid. Second of all, I grew up in Israel and I know what it feels like to be on that side. I know how it feels to shit your pants every time a balloon pops. Third of all, I was once young and naive and believed that peace could be achieved, so I did investigate the other side. That's why I'm having a normally perfect conversation on here and I'm not posting " DEATH TO PALESTINE" (lol). You might be under the illusion that I don't know the other side because I'm posting in support of Israel. Well that's the side I chose to be on, so obviously I'm going to support it. If everything I posted supported both sides what the hell would be the point of me posting.

all we can do is hope to hell this ends quasi peacefully. because if one of the half dozen arab contries within striking distance decide to hop in to "protect the oppressed palestinians" (make good on their threat to destroy the jewish people) this is all going to get real ugly real fast.

thats the big picture afterall. this palestine israel shit will just be the side party if anyone else gets involved here.
