DETROIT AUTO SHOW PHOTO GALLERY: Lexus Steals Morning Thunder With HS250h Hybrid
Agent001 submitted on 1/11/2009 Official AutoSpies Timestamp: 12:43:17 PM

While GM was fighting for their lives at their press conference trying to convince people they have the right product mix present and future at the Detroit Auto Show, Lexus stole the morning thunder with the new HS250h hybrid sedan.

The 2010 HS 250h, is the world’s first dedicated luxury hybrid vehicle. The HS 250h will be Lexus’ fourth hybrid and the most fuel-efficient vehicle in its lineup. It also will be the first Lexus to utilize carbon-neutral Ecological Plastic materials in a new futuristic cockpit and interior design.

Gas mileage is predicted to be at LEAST 30% higher than the best Lexus hybrid ever and will go on sale this summer.

i agree

!LittleDragon 01-11-2009 03:08 PM

why does the center console look like that of a minivan?

Adrenaline Rush 01-11-2009 04:04 PM

Does look like a Lexus Corolla, but I heard it's based on the European Camry platform. I bet they will sell a lot just based on the image (luxury plus eco friendly)

maxx 01-11-2009 04:08 PM

what that is
is a toyota prius sedan rebadged as lexus and interior made from cardboard and leaves

anti-vip 01-11-2009 06:00 PM

camry's brother

twitchyzero 01-11-2009 06:34 PM

wth is this pos?
the taillights looks very similar the mid 90's ES

dL 01-11-2009 06:48 PM

Not bad. At least it looks better than the Prius and Insight.

I don't know I can't really put a finger on it but something about having all these detailed hi quality looking bright works packed into a corolla sized car just make it look super odd.

like someone slapping a BMW 7 series headlight onto a Civic kind of odd....

HardBoiler 01-11-2009 08:45 PM

If you can afford a Lexus, I am pretty sure you can afford gas. :)

!SG 01-11-2009 08:54 PM

unless ur like me and got the lexus for a super good deal, and still amazed how much gas my car eats...

always wanted a GS, just glad i didnt pay the 25G's i originally was going to pay for one...

aussi 01-11-2009 08:59 PM

just not digging it

alex.w *// 01-11-2009 09:01 PM

looks more like a camry to me

!Aznboi128 01-11-2009 09:54 PM

screams corrola

JSALES 01-11-2009 09:55 PM

front end reminds me of a civic

!SG 01-11-2009 09:57 PM

the rear reminds me of the IS. front like the camry/ES, side profile a bit of the prius n corolla. overall, it looks like a lexus. should sell.

my guess with the center console is that this car is FWD. so there is no need for an elongated center console to hide the tranny/center driveshaft...

Roach 01-11-2009 10:53 PM

I think it serves a purpose and will do very well in the Lexus portofio.

its the baller version of the Prius...

the interior looks just like the prius except nicer..esp. with the shifter.

hope it doesn't make that annoying beeping noise when you put it on reverse.

2damaxmr2 01-12-2009 12:53 AM

wrong wheel drive :(

DDauge 01-12-2009 07:46 AM
