USB Cable

The the USB cable from my printer to computer is too short. I have 2 printer cables, does an adaptor exist to put the two cables together?

The end that goes into the printer is the square one, and the other end is the normal USB.

what you want is a A male / A female cable. and use one printer cable. save the 2nd cable for something else.

^^USB spec maxes out at 25' cable length. Anything more than that, you're just lucky if it actually works.

you can buy active amp type extensions. (basicly an amp on the end of a 15' extension cable powered from the USB port. I've gone 40' or so with that. haven't tryed further.

You can (sometimes) use a hub as a repeater, too...
