Always interesting to see what the others in my office are making lol - damn some of them are jacking the OT heavily rofl. (bosses included) |
My favorite prof from SFU only makes 90k a year. He deserves more, he was absolutely awesome, a straight G. |
told y'all post sec schools r good businesses |
damn yo, its all sauder school of business profs. now i know where my money went. Levi, Maurice David Professor, The Sauder School of Business $323,926 <this is the only guy who deserves it. absolute genius. |
I'd like to bring something else about. There are profs who launch spin-off companies through their research on campus. I know of one Head at the UBC Hospital who sold his company about two years ago for close to $100 million; and of that he pocketed a rumored 70%, yet his income declared on that site is only $253,000. |
my asshole mbb prof is making 150k a year? how the hell |

What do you think would happen if all these information are confidential? How would you feel like if it turns out every retarded custom officer at the airport are paying themselves $500,000 each with your money? while you are making your puny $50,000 a year and almost 30% of it goes into tax paying these wages? |

You're a moron. Your example is flawed, that's a private corporation, this is a public corporation and WE are your employers. In your example we are nothing but the consumers. I'm going to refrain from calling you a list of profanities and capping it off with a nice moron cherry on top because I have points already, but jeebus guy. Stuff like this exists so we know how much we are paying guberment employees and so that we the employers don't get reamed. |
Most of the profs I had in UBC commerce was on the list and make well over $100K. I do think the majority of them deserve that considering their qualification & experience. And more importantly, most of them will have no problem getting the same level of salary in the private sector. |
we disagree on a subject so you call me a moron, and then you failed to fault my alternative where we arent listing peoples names. |

profs do most of their work behind the scenes, which is mostly researching. Doing lectures and stuff is the least of a prof's worries ... it's the most slack part of their job. Atleast that's what my cousin told me and she's a professor as well. |
ahhh i see.. you gotta be REALLY good at math for econ to be on that list i think with all that education and such, i expected them to make more.. but hey, my profs seem like they can do watever the hell they want and makes 120k.. i think thats awesome! comparing to a business guy that work their ass off 12 hours a day in some cubicle higher education owns ALL!!!!!! |
profs seem like their job is pretty easy |

Great, the next time I'm in lecture I'm just going to imagine dollar signs around my prof |
Damn, Burkholder (Phil120 anyone?) makes 99k at UBC.. VERY cool link. Thanks for the heads up. The work may be "easy", but research definitely isn't for everyone. They just spend a ton of time at a lab, instead of a cubicle. |
