repairing/painting 3 pc wheels chrome lip

did some searches, can't exactly find a post really deal with this topic

i'm planning to repair my wheel this coming season, and i'm trying to find out if it's possible to paint a set of chrome lips to flat black (match the center). i bet it would cost an arm or leg or possibly more organs, but then thats why i'm posting here to get a rough idea, so anyone know roughly the cost of sucha repair + paint?

and i bet hv 3 pc wheels, they will take significantly more time (more labor $$) to deal wif the wheels? so if it's like $400 a wheel, i might just buy another set of wheels.

you can do whatever combo you want.

you just cant get large pieces chromed in town. there isnt a chrome in town that can do anything the size of a wheel. You have to send down to the states. Just google search, i forgot the name, but there is a chromer that everyone has recognized for their work down in Ohio i believe.

If you plan on painting ur wheels, they can do that, however, if its chrome, it will cost a bit more as they need to remove the chrome first, prep it, then paint it.

depending on the size, design, if the wheel is damaged or not, depending on the level of the damage, and what type of paint process they must do, the price will vary from id say $200 starting minimum.

For example, i had my 17s straightened, curbing fixed, and painted a complete different color, all 4, for about $1000. the wheels were cast, split spoked. 3 piece will most likely be more expensive.

Hope that gives u a rough idea.
