maybe u can get a older 330. It's a very good car with ample power.

kc1337 01-19-2009 12:02 PM

g35, because it comes with a vlsd as oppose to an open diff on the 325ci

bossxx 01-19-2009 12:24 PM

G35 gets my vote.. but go for an 05-06.

CanadaGoose 01-19-2009 02:46 PM

06 G35 hands down

SuperSlowSS 01-19-2009 03:06 PM

If you are ok with 4 door, you can get a really nice 2006 330i (sports, ca, etc) for like 30g. If you find a late 2006 one, you will still have warranty for another year or so. You can save some money on service.

6insomnia9 01-19-2009 03:08 PM

Edit.

JackyJai 01-19-2009 03:08 PM

That's a wide range for 20~40g.
But you will get more performance and less trouble for the G than the 325ci.
You will properly find a G37 for 40g by Sep.

illict 01-19-2009 03:09 PM

^^^^ That's what i am thinking :D
06 Model for G35
05 Model for 325ci

What would look better? White on Black or Black on Black for both cars?

NashMan 01-19-2009 05:05 PM

deaker will all wasy charge you an arm and leg that what they do

Jackygor 01-19-2009 05:35 PM

i find it sexy as hell love the hole car the m aero package and sport package clear tail's clear side markers

the reg modle i hate to hell cause umm looks so corney

i have driven both cars and i far like the bmw better in it's handleing cumfort and it much longer power band and better gas milage

only down fall it's under powered

and the stably control can not be turn off fully have to got to dealer so they can kill it for you if you a drifter master or what ever

thous are my old down side's of the car

but fi power it what you are after get it bigger brother 330ci same car just bigger motor 3liter instead of the 2.5

and 227 hp if remmber right in 02

You can turn off the stability control completely, just hold down the DSC button for longer than 5 seconds and two lights on the dash will light up as opposed to just one.

Nah..
I don't like mods.

What is different in the 07 and 06? Besides power.

sexyaccord 01-19-2009 06:49 PM

the 04 05 325ci is facelifted and looks like this

The one posted by CharlieH is a 06 I believe, and was the year that it had the M package

The HP difference is quite a lot. but if you care about the name, get the bmw.
don't really mind the name, get the g35c, it would be a more fun car to drive

There are no difference in 07 and 06.
06 6MT is listed as 298hp and 07 is listed as 292hp.
The lower listed hp on the 07 is because the new hp rating standard.
Nothing is different.

And all the 03~07 5AT, 03~04 6MT have the same 287hp.
05~07 6MT got higher redline which called rev-up engine.
The rev-up has some minor difference than non-revup.

by the time september hits, and your budget is still $20-40G you can get some decently nicer cars then a g35 or 325. try a 335i by the time, it should be pretty cheap. you can even get m3's for your price range.

6insomnia9 01-20-2009 12:07 AM

^ True... For now this is probably what i am going to get unless i change my mind again..

I guess your buddy imported the car from the states. Because BMW Canada's warranty covers regular maintenance/service.

illict 01-23-2009 04:22 PM

I guess i am going to get the G35..
hahhaaa
The car is so sexy and slick :P

335i's came out in 07. which means it is still warranted. it shouldn't be costing anything until 2011...

You can get G35s a lot cheaper now as well. Well maybe not now, but if you wait till our dollars stronger (don't know how long) you can pick them up super cheap compared to buying here. Getting them from the states and driving/shipping it back will save you tons.

illict 01-24-2009 04:56 PM

Is there a difference in the US and Canada model?

Nope same car, just need to get DRLs done, inspected, and your good. No need to change the instrument cluster, it costs 1k to do that if you really wanted to. Good luck, you can't go wrong with the G.

Marco911 01-25-2009 10:29 PM

604NIGHTHAWK 01-27-2009 11:31 AM

i dont think its worth it to buy a 3 series unless you got the money to buy the 335i or the m3...id go with the g35..more bang for the buck...3 series are WEAKSAUCE besides the 2 i mentioned above
