zara, banana republic, club monaco, mexx

zara, banana republic, club monaco, mexx

out of all four, in your opinion which is the best in terms of quality and popularity?

From the looks of it, it don't seem like their clothes suit your image.

I like Club Monaco.. just a personal preference

hi-revs 01-19-2009 06:42 PM

i prefer mexx and zara

Sid Vicious 01-19-2009 06:54 PM

they all suck, but if i had to choose, zara has a nice balance between price and quality
but club monaco, 600 for a coat? GTFO i could get a RL black label

tgill 01-19-2009 06:54 PM

i'd say zara is the higher quality of the bunch. Banana republic is just a slightly higher end gap, and mexx seems to be a ripoff.

RSXmiloRSx 01-19-2009 07:57 PM

banana republic, i wear their shirts everyday, fit me well, soft, don't fade

3xta 01-19-2009 08:26 PM

Zara hands down

what is RL black label? is it a classy kind of brand?

loafer80 01-19-2009 09:18 PM

i'd say zara and club monaco. i like CM better, but some CM items are way over priced.

wolfwood 01-19-2009 10:05 PM

Haven't shopped in CM or BR in ages. I would say both are overpriced for the quality. Zara is great price for the quality, especially when the yearend sale of $20 for their shirts!

koukimonst3r 01-20-2009 01:12 AM

ZARA ftw!

Armind 01-20-2009 02:18 AM

I like Mexx :D

Djiban 01-20-2009 02:46 AM

zara and ban rep

What_the? 01-20-2009 06:19 AM

zara styles are much trendier IMO

quality wise, it's not the greatest for durability, but it's not terrible

iam_dan 01-20-2009 07:19 AM

of all the 3, i only go to zara...sometimes

RacePace 01-20-2009 08:00 AM

Zara by far, CM is over priced, Banana's style is too bland, Mexx is overpriced and style is too....I dunno, it just isn't right. Zara's style is just right and the prices are exactly what I want to pay, their shirts fit perfectly on me because they're all slim fitting. Their quality isn't as great as a high end brand, but you shouldn't expect it for what you pay

Armind 01-20-2009 08:14 AM

I guess it's time for me to step foot into Zara one day and see what you guys are talking bout :D

miss_crayon 01-20-2009 08:15 AM

banana for me.

syee 01-20-2009 10:35 AM

For quality - I'd say BR. I've never really shopped at Club Monaco so I couldn't really tell you what their quality is like. Zara is probably the lowest in terms of quality however, I do like their designs.

I guess it really depends on what you're looking for stylewise. BR is fairly conservative/business like. Zara and Mexx is a little more adventurous with some "out there" designs on some of their clothes. Club Monaco probably sits right in between BR and Zara/Mexx but I've noticed is really suited for the skinny people. :D

If for overal popularity (as in brand recognition), I'd say BR takes the cake. Everyone knows what BR is anywhere in North America.

IMO club monaco has gone downhill over the past decade. their style is wack, and overpriced. banana is best quality, then mexx. zara IMO is best overal for style/quality/price

flameboy54 01-20-2009 11:02 AM

Not my kinda fashion but I do have a few pairs of Mexx dress pants and I'm pretty satisfied with them.

Trinity 01-20-2009 11:57 AM

Banana Republic petites hands down. They're a perfect fit.

I find Zara's clothing cheap. They tend to fall apart on me after three washes. I hear different for men's stuff there though, so maybe I just have really bad luck.
