| Where to buy a creme brulee' torch?
Where to buy a creme brulee' torch around here? It ain't a creme brulee' without the crunchy carmelized sugar topping since I had made before but without the final touch to complete it.

Just pick up a regular propane blowtorch at Canadian tire; that's what all restaurants do.

The cooking store in that mall on 12th/Cambie (City Center possibly?) has a little small one last time I was there (as I bought one), though that was years ago.

i got one a few years ago from ming wo in lougheed mall. your standard misc kitchen gear store. they have a few locations around town. i use it mostly for pot purposes which puts it through it's paces because it's been on for for huge periods of time and also constant on and off. has a button that locks into place so you don't have to hold down the trigger.
make sure you get clean butane. it's for the health of your torch and you don't really wanna be using dirty shit if it's for food. colibri is really clean and every single lighter/key cutting place carries it. make sure whatever brand you get has "zero impurities label" on it.
pm me if you want the brand name or whatever. i can check when i get home.

Can tire, rona, princess auto wherever, buy the big blue bottle and whatever nozzle u can afford, auto ignite or manual.
just remember sugar goes from white, brown to black a hell of a lot faster with this thing.

kitchen warehouse on e. hastings has a really good one but it's about 50 bucks (I have one). It's just west of the Canadian Tire.

If you want to eat the creme brulee, you want a butane torch instead of propane..
Yes fire is fire... however left over fuel reacts differently with sugar. Quote:
