Fido and Blackberrys?
 

Is it true that Fido will be getting Blackberrys and Data plans real soon? Its just something i heard and i'm just wondering if its true or not or if you guys know anything about it.

If so I will shoot someone! Seriously, i gave up my all-city fido plan for a BB

I canceled my Fido contract last month just to get a Blackberry w/ a data plan.. hurt

It is coming! My friend at Fido told me

does that mean its only 500mb of data only for BB related stuff?
or would use of 3g also count into that?

went to fido store today ... they confirmed it

but i heard fido won't be offering BES cuz rogers still wants you to come to them. can you still blackberry messenger with BIS?

Woot I was actually considering selling my cityfido plan and getting a Rogers plan. This could change my mind on that one :D

isn't $25 for 500mb BIS the same as the regular $25 500mb data plans (and $30 for 1gb) @ fido?

^ Nope, the BIS plan is a superset of the normal plans. (i.e. you get an additional access portal to the BlackBerry servers.

wow...sweet, i really wanted to switch to rogers for their blackberry and data plans.
Looks like i'll wait for Fido to come out with the Blackberrys!
Which phones do you think they'll have? Bold? Javelin? Storm? Pearl?
Any news on that yet? From what i've read, they're only going to come out with the pearl 8100 first....which kinda sucks.

I heard they will have the Pearl, the flip, and then the javelin. the Bold and Storm will be for Rogers only.

i have a question..
if i get a 1gb data plan today.. would I be able to add BIS onto it when it comes out a week later when BIS comes out?
