those balloon things were kinda cool...
if you don't wanna give flowers cuz they just wither the next day, then why don't you just buy those paper ones? I've seen those things sell alot in richmond. If you don't wanna just buy them...then make them yourself...u have 10 days to do it if you start now.
If you make them and they turn out to be the ugliest flowers ever, it still will be memorable cuz it's the "thought" that counts~

Flowers are only a rip off if you don't care what makes a girl who likes flowers happy.

The things I might do for him include: making from scratch some sort of meal he loves, making him a card, framing a picture, telling him I'll go to one of his "events" with him (one of those I don't really want to go, but I will go because I love him type of events... maybe like nutcracker at xmas for the boys...), take him to an action filled no love story movie, surprise him with a little road trip to wherever, buy him a small gift, and lastly but certainly not least is something special behind closed doors. It really is the thought and the effort that counts.
As for flowers... I like them but on valentines it is a little cliche, not to mention that I know he's been ripped off. Buy them on just another day... it means more. |

meal he loves? = if no 5 star hotel standard with abalone, don't even bother, we dont' like to pretend it tastes delicious in front of you
make him a card = like you think we will hang that on my neck every fuck day and kiss it good night?
framing a picture = it's as lame as asking your bf to put your face on his PC wallpaper
events = what's the point doing something you don't enjoy and PRETEND you want to go with him?
action movies = another forcing yourself to do something you don't like, then bragging you love him and do whatever, lame.
road trip = unless you drive all the way, now that's surprising
buy him a small gift = so we can never get a big gift? and you get mad when we buy YOU a small gift!
closed door = true is, guys get high more when watching fetish porn. VERY SERIOUS, please keep it regular, we no like special.
Yeah, I am telling the truth and it has been agreed by all the guys I know.
WE can buy all the fancy dinner and flowers and shit, but in return PLEASE buy us back
something we value! My gf bought me a watch this year, that shuts me up for the
rest of this year and motivate me to do better during v-day.

I heard from a couple of guy friends that they don't like getting watches because everyone's tastes regarding watches are so different. =3
But I guess that could apply to just about everything. Haha.

A picture framed?! That's as stupid as asking him to post your face on his PC!
Obviously some guys like nice gestrures and not just the moneytary things in life, thank God I've got one of those. Please tell me where I said I needed him to buy me dinner and flowers? So how does that leave me in a position to "buy him back"?
Good for your gf she bought you a fucking watch. If that's what shuts you up you're as idiotic as a gold digger. In fact more stupid becasue and LV bag or something like it would never shut up a gold digger for an entire year.

I'd rather not have money involved. To me I'd rather have him do something to help me out, something that he may not usually. That way I know he has thought of me.
For him I am trying to think of something we can go do. Forget the expensive over crowded restaurants and triple priced flowers.
and if all else fails there is always mind blowing sex

In fact more stupid becasue and LV bag or something like it would never shut up a gold digger for an entire year. | obviously, you have no idea what guys really want. You are just like all
typical girls out there who think what you do for your guys is must be
meaningful and that will make your guy happy. And please use the term "gold
digger" properly, if I informed her to buy me a watch, yes, I am a gold
digger. In fact, it was a surprise gift, so no, I am not.
I wouldn't disagree all of them if it has never happened to me or the friends
around me. The list you made previously only makes the guys feel more
uncomfortable than ever, or a big WTF in their mind, and he'll wonder how
much time have you actually spend on planning? However, if you are only a
high school girl, then I shouldn't blame you.
Here is tip for a working class who wears tie and suit everyday, get him a
money clipper, cuff links, sweater, plain colour tie, tie clip, stainless steel
pen, a watch (again, it doesn't means to have to be expensive, but these are the
stuff men won't walk into a store by himself to pick one)
I truely believe girls have a good observation skill. There are always
something guys want but they never buy or do. You just need to spend more
time to look for them.

I give a shit what my man wants. And yes, there are some guys who do like shit like the shit I put on the list. He'd rid of me long time ago if he wanted a fucking money clips or some shit.
2) The list I made is thoughtful and meaningful and does not make him feel uncomfortable, you know what WOULD make him feel uncomfortable is me buying shit like money clips, he doesn't want a fucking money clip, he doesn't want a fucking tie, fucking cuff links? That would make him feel uncomfortable or more like, WTF was she thinking that I'd like shit like this?
3) So you think that every man wants a tie, money clip, sweater or a fucking pen!? WTF... that's like saying all girls like teddy bears, flowers and balloons... if you read clearly not every girl does. I'd never buy something so impersonal for a gift that's supposed to be about love.
Thanks but uhh no thanks.

You're taking his words quite seriously to be swearing that much. Chill out.
He gave out those materials as a suggestion for the working class who wear a suit and tie everyday. I doubt he suggested it was something YOUR man would personally want but the average dude would like or appreciate. To each his own.
You're gift package to your SO is fine by all means, its yours to customize and present to him. I just think you could be a bit more imaginative cuz I think it would be nice to watch an action movie once in a while or to tag along on an event of his interest and eat a meal he prefers.... unless your tastes versus his are polar opposites. This is for everday life. Now, you dont get a ballin watch everyday so it makes you go 'wow, this is special'. But once again, to each his own.
