It boils down to "domesticated" animals vs Wild Animals. Pets are are viewed as loved parts of the family, not just animals. I worked for a slaughter company, and I had to pick the freshly killed pigs and young pigs. They were alive 20 Min's ago, then slaughtered gutted and delivered to stores. I was a driver / swamper, so I had to load them and unload them. I stayed for an entire week before I finally said I can't do this. Covered in pigs blood at the end of every knight. You would stick your finger into a leg, grab the tendon and thats how you would carry it.
Nope not my line of work, I am actually going back to my roots as a computer tech fix it guy.
The difference is the ones that are bread to be human companions and ones that are bread to be food.

the video also looks fake. The cat doesnt even make a sound when they supposedly hook it. In one of the scenes it looks like there is a harness for the cat that the hook is on.
Not to say this doenst happen but this video looks like bs

Yes I have seen the way they are moved. A lot different than sticking a 3 inch hook through the cats skin.

the cats dont even squirm or make a sound when the hook is going in.. i call bullshit on this
i dont see how using a cat instead of a fish is more effective at catching game fish.. the point of kite fishing is that you want the bait to be ALIVE in the water and swimming around, attracting the fish. Fishermen aren't stupid and using a cat seems counterproductive as the cat would just drown in under 5 mins and your bait is now useless.

fish does not feel pain, but cat does.
Why isnt the kitten making any sound when the hook was on them ? I think it is fake.
The sickest video i saw way back was a guy putting his kitten in the cage and set it on fire, he flimed the whole process and it was sick to my stomache. Not to mention his gay evil laugh.
