staples is selling the msi wind u100 for $450. throw in a $20 off $150 coupon and it's $430. walmart supercentre is selling the same model for $399.99 but its limited quantity. i highly recommend the u100 because it can overclock +24%, can have 2gb of ram, and it's not that much bigger than the acer aspire one even with the 10" screen.

eeepc 1000 series has only 1 GB..but you can find cheap 2 GB and stick it in w/ ease.

i'd say AA1 for the best bang for the buck. Eee is a bit heavier and more pricey..but i like it's overall touch and prefer 10.2" over 8.9"

I have the AA1 but I also tried out the MSI Wind and HP Mini at the stores, you should take a look at the MSI or HP because it seems better then the Acer.
