For me 9500i is the only way to go. V1 sucks because it's using older technology (GPS-wise) It has GPS technology so you essentially eliminate all false alarms. When you drive by a location and it beeps because of doors etc you press a button and it saves the location so the next time you go through that location it realizes that its a false alarm and it won't sound. However, if there is a cop at that location, it realizes that there is a different band and it will sound. I used my friend's 9500 for about a month and it was really weird driving around without the false alarms going off. It saved me a few times! |
It's the same technology except Laser Pro Park uses a much more power diode and outperform ZR4 and 9500ci. Plus... Laser Pro Park is a parking sensor... so how illegal can it get... lol Quote:

pm me for details about ur car's yr, model, etc |
I install myself on my honda too. I used wireless kit for my LPP, way easier. took me 1.5 hour tho |
v1 is a tool, a very good, if not the best tool. but it will not be a god send. i've had mine for years, was an easy hard wire, is stealth and has saved my butt numerous times - but i've still had a ticket with it (which i didn't pay a penny on) - but it has certainly paid for itself many times over |

no i drive an infiniti. I'm interested in the LPP system however don't want to get the wireless kit as its too expensive. How much would labour run me for a single head LPP? |
I know a friend who went to this shop (on Imperial) in Burnaby for LPP installation on his Tundra for about $130. Send me a PM. Maybe I can call him for a contact number. Quote:

just remember even with radar detectors, jammers, etc. there is no guarantee (trust me I've had them all...) a good lawyer is a better solution ;) http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...al/photo-4.jpg |
^^might as well just keep a lawyer in the glovebox at all times best equipment hands down |
"500ci which is a detector and shifter in one. They are technically legal in BC, hence why we're allowed to sell them in BC. Jamming is taking a signal and scrambling it, which is messing with goverment tools/signals,etc." Actually you should do a short google of "obstruction" under the Criminal Code of Canada. If this device obstructs the Police in the lawful execution of their duties ( and if it doesn't then why are you selling them?) then you can be charged. As a seller of the divices you could also be considered "aiding" the user. Offences relating to public or peace officer 129. Every one who (a) resists or wilfully obstructs a public officer or peace officer in the execution of his duty or any person lawfully acting in aid of such an officer, (b) omits, without reasonable excuse, to assist a public officer or peace officer in the execution of his duty in arresting a person or in preserving the peace, after having reasonable notice that he is required to do so, or (c) resists or wilfully obstructs any person in the lawful execution of a process against lands or goods or in making a lawful distress or seizure, is guilty of (d) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or (e) an offence punishable on summary conviction. |
