Haha no kidding. Today there was this guy who was just staring at me through the glass walls of the gym for like 20 minutes.. He was either a mainlander or retarded, and would try to wave to me whenever I walked by. Pretty annoying, but you get that sometimes in HK... It's way worse in China though

Lots of mainlanders try to speak to foreigners.. And occasionally you come across them in HK.. same with retards and really old people, they just see someone totally different and want to interact with them. It's usually OK, but annoying when I'm working out.

If your scared you shouldnt go but if you do decide to you will find that you have a better work out and no one says anything to you

Get some balls and join a gym

I never look down on anybody at the gym. People are there concentrating on their workouts. Don't feel intimated by anybody. Go, do your thing and get out.

RRxtar 01-28-2009 01:04 PM

im usually pretty focussed at the gym and basically put the blinders up. having my ipod really narrows my focus to what im doing.

in any case, im not a big guy or a little guy so it doesnt really matter anyway. hah just an average guy putting my work in.

maxxxboost 01-28-2009 11:47 PM

Never look down on people. I pretty much go alone and mind my own business.
Why would i care about other peoples business.

sometimes like when a group grade like 10's go in and just dick around and not put in away the weights and shit

L0uie69 01-29-2009 12:33 AM

same here, Im just there, got my headphones plugged into my satellite radio and Im off in my world. Sometimes I just see people trying to show off doing things really wrong and I just roll my eyes. Im 5'9 and I used to be about 180 and really bulky but now I have a new game plan and am around 165 and getting lean. I stopped going to the gym for a few months and began to work out at home instead. I showed up to the gym for the first time in about 5 months earlier this month and some of the regulars that remembered me were eying me down.

Just and FYI for the newcomers.... This is from my experience at the gym.

Most big guys in the gym, the gym is their life. They have been going for years and years and probably know more than the personal trainers at the gym. If you ever want to know anything in a gym like how machines work or how to improve on a lift or work a certain muscle, ASK THE BIGGER GUYS!! More often than not they will be glad to help you. Just don't ask while they are in the middle of a set! There is nothing a gym monkey hates more than seeing noobs doing shit wrong. They will help you out just so they don't have to watch you do shit wrong lol.

Berz out.
