My computer acting strange..

Last night, I set my computer on stand by and went to bed.. About ~5 mins later the computer turns on by itself. So, I was like, WTF.. Got up and put the computer on stand by again and went back to bed. Happened again and I didn't bother getting up this time.. About another ~5mins later the computer shuts off. Repeated about 2 times and I got pissed so I put the computer on Shut Down.

another one:

I was downloading a game w/ utorrent. About 10-15mins my internet stops working or it works VERY very slow and my download speed drops from 4xxkB/s to 2-3kB/s.. Happened to me about 4 times yesterday and the only way to fix the internet was to unplug and plug back in my internet cable and router. I used to download things on torrent without any problems. This is really annoying.

Any one else encountered this problem? Any way to solve it?

Thanks!

if your computer is off and then suddenly turns on...the only problem i could think of is that sometimes automatic updates have an automatic turn on time at like 3 am or some random time...check that out it might be why its turning on randomly

Is your mouse set to wake the computer? Is your mouse moving? You have any pets?

As for your uTorrent problem try these:
1) run the speed guide and set the upload speed to about 80% of your max.
2) Ensure your ports are open on your router AND any software firewall you're running (i.e. windows firewall)
3) Check that the torrent your downloading has sufficient seeds. For example, if there are 5,000 leechers, but only 20 seeders, you're in for a long wait.
