| Leather jackets?
Anyone know where I can find a similar leather jacket like this one;
Dior has some nice jackets out for their 2009 collection but I don't feel like dropping $3000 for a jacket.

That style is pretty classic.
I've seen one by Marc by Marc Jacobs, it's a bit more rugged looking though and Belstaff has a great one in their 2008/09 collection. I personally love the Belstaff one better, but with the new Benjamin Button fame, it's probably hard to find now.
I've heard a lot of great things about Rick Owen jackets but the distressed look isn't my thing. Then there's Maison Martin Margiela, Neil Barrett and CoSTUME National.
I'll try and find you some pictures when I get home. Edit: Here took me 2 seconds. There's technically 45 pages for you to choose from. http://www.shopstyle.com/browse?fts=...+jackets#144_0

The Marc Jacobs one is a good choice, probably as close as you can get to what you want.
I'm more of a fan of the moto style collars though. This is so hot: http://www.forzieri.com/usa/product_...e5=&dept_id=79

I'm thinking about purchasing this dolce jacket;
It's just under $3000.

It's just under $3000. | For that kind of money the jacket should look luxurious -- the leather should be calf-skin, and suppppple. I bought a Dolce shearling bomber jacket a few years back, and it was pretty $$$ and now I wish I had bought something more simple -- the leather is probably good quality but it intentionally looks rusty and weird -- I like it fine but it doesn't seem like a 3000+ jacket to me!
I like the Gucci one, but agree w/Marco -- Prada makes terrific leather jackets.

I don't think any jacket is worth $3000+ to be honest with you. Dior had some nice jackets when Hedi was around that were worth the hefty price tags.
I really like the iconic Gucci jacket as well plus it's around $2300.
By the way, HB20 that was a nice jacket you sold. I would have picked it up if I seen your for sale thread.

The Gucci one is nice, but obviously if you're going to drop that much on a jacket, it should last for decades. And you'll probably outgrow the look, where as the Dolce one you can't really

I'm becoming a bit of an old man taste-wise now, and would likely only buy a Loro Piana or Brunello Cucinelli jacket at such a high price.

I don't like that gucci leather, looks like an old dude would wear one ... I'll recommended brands like Rick Owens, Julius and Neil Barrett
