ben button hype is not there. Slumdog is + 1000

i want to put dark knight but the ending of batman being able to kill and beat up people in the dark i didn't like at all. heath did a great job.

i have yet to see diving bell & butterfuly or in bruges or happy go lucky...(those won awards).

revolutionary road was meh, i can't say it was good cause i didn't like the story (or wasnt exciting enoguh)

BoneThug 02-02-2009 01:27 PM

Batman never kills. Are you sure you watched the right movie?

Lomac 02-02-2009 04:21 PM

Dark Knight
Wall-E
There Will Be Blood

...that's about it. Wasn't too impressed with movies this year.

rslater 02-02-2009 05:43 PM

Taxi to the Dark Side
Let the Right One In (best film I saw all year)
JCVD
4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days
The Counterfeiters

Honourable Mentions go to Cloverfield, Son of Rambow, and the normal Dark Knights, Wall-e, There Will be Blood, Ironman etc etc

RayBot 02-02-2009 06:54 PM

There Will Be Blood is actually considered a 2007 movie....where it was also the year's top movie as by the academy.

The Wrestler
Gran Torino
Iron Man
No country for old men
there will be blood

after watching the Dark knight on bluray a couple times it's really not that great of a movie, heath ledgers joker is pretty much the highlight, other then that it's not really that great

incubus 02-03-2009 04:56 PM

Funny you should mention that. I've been meaning to watch Kung Fu Panda but haven't gotten around to it yet. I did really enjoy Wall-E, though.

Tim Budong 02-03-2009 09:33 PM

wall e
gran torino
the wrestler
zack n miri make porno
dark knight

6793026 02-04-2009 02:58 PM

Wall E over panda for sure.

I did like zack n miri make porno, i did not expect the two male and female lead to have so much chemistry and a decent story line, but if i had to choose a comedy, i would choose role model.

i worked at a superstore for a bit in electronics and had to watch both movies over and over for days. i never got tired of watching kung fu panda, and i watched it every day for 3 weeks. its a really great movie.
