Sorry, but he's sitting a bit too close to the wheel and if the airbag goes off, he's gonna get internal injuries.

OP, it must've been ncie to get the salt and dirt off the car tho!

I agree with both of you, it was really close. I just don't notice it as much because when you open the driver door, the seats move back and when you close it they move forward. So i didn't notice it as much because getting in and out was a breeze. I didn't want to move the seat for my mom, I'm fine though, but I'll keep it in mind for next time. Thanks for the tip.

It definitely was good to have all the road grime off, after the first photoshoot we went down to the states, and then when I got back I washed it again and did another photoshoot:haha:. I think I have OCD:p

First set: Canon Rebel XSi
Second set: Canon EOS 40D

None of them were taken with a tripod except the interiors. If you want sharp picture you can see them at :

The quality came down a bit when uploaded to photobucket.

trade?:p

Just kidding, that is such a sick G! I really like the choice of rims. I'm jealous how much aftermarket support there is for 1st gen coupes and sedans. Oh well, not like I'm going to mod mommys car haha.

geeknerd 02-02-2009 01:28 AM

are those stock S rims?
neva seen before.....

asian_XL 02-02-2009 08:07 AM

NICE CAR, NICE HAT, NICE PICS

Fuck those harsh RS comments. I give u 9/10

1exotic 02-02-2009 10:49 AM

Most pictures are to dark and not sharp at all (blurry), doesn't look like you used a tri-pod.
Keep working on it.

Drift_Monkey 02-02-2009 11:41 AM

nice car.. you should drive around the parkage in 1st & 2nd gear to hear that exhaust note.

i drive in there once in while and i see a car meet there with 10 +bimmers.

you 02-02-2009 12:38 PM

yeh ur right, the in car cruising shots really makes me sick

Mananetwork 02-02-2009 01:08 PM

Just because he has better equipment doesn't mean it makes him a better shooter. I'd say those images are worse then the first set you posted.

It's not about the equipment, it's how you use it

unit 02-02-2009 01:39 PM

pics could use work, but nice car.

too many haters in this thread

HAHA thanks bro. I like my hat too:thumbsup:.

For the haters...good keep hating. I really don't care. I'm happy with these pictures.

Geeknerd: They're our winter set up. The sport 18s go on in a month or so.

1exotic: I don't really see how they're all blurry, a few but not all. I already mentioned that we didn't use a tripod.

unit: Totally agree, a bunch of haters, but hey its RS:p. I <3 Haters. Pics really could use work but I'm fine with it.

Drift_Monkey: I'm no ricer... JK, trust me I've heard the exhaust note plenty of times:thumbsup:

you beat me to it, the equipment doesnt have anything to do with getting nice shots, its all up to the photographer. you can probably give your friend(s) a 1ds or something and still wont get any better shots. the composition of the shots are off, they just don't work. the lighting is crap too, having the flash only on part of the car and the rest dark.. i'd suggest going through the automotive pic thread in the photo forum on RS to get some ideas and inspiration, and maybe look at more car magazines. that would be a start.

-snip-

As usual, c&c is always welcomed here!

Tell your friend to use the tripod or monopod for night shots unless he has the hands of a surgeon. And when on the tripod, use the self-timer button so that the vibrations stop before the camera clicks and takes the picture. Oh, if he's using an external flash (not the pop-up one from the camera... it sucks really bad. :() tell him to get a diffuser or bounce card to light the car more evenly.

On the other hand, this second set is better technically, but still lacking on the composition side of things. They're a bit too bland... Find more interesting angles to take pictures of the car! Perspective is everything. Try either going really high up or really low for unique viewpoints that you don't see every day. :) :haha:

Keep it up!
