spotted: Civic w/ yellow fogs get pulled over by vpd on kingsway
 

What did they tag you with?

(8th gen civic btw)

There was a thread on v240 about foglights being on and getting a ticket while there's no fog.

But he was doing consistently 60-62 on kingway with the vpd car right on his butt. My brother and I was like, oh man.. the police car is just following that civic, he's going to get pulled over for somethign...

The car had tint on the rear windows, and an exhaust. But it wasn't screaming attention.. jsut the yellow jdm looking fogs. I think it's an Si too.

there is no law forbidding the use of fogs in the absence of fog iirc, as on most cars they are part of the DRLs. i know mine come on as soon as you turn the car on. (not even starting it, just to the on position)

Probably just a routine check. No news there.

Really? I got pulled over once for having my fog lights on. Was told it was illegal in the absence of fog and was only let go for a warning...

4.11 (1) A motor vehicle may be equipped with 2 fog lamps, mounted on the front of the vehicle below the headlamps, that are capable
of displaying only white or amber light.

(2) Each fog lamp must be

(a) mounted not more than 30 cm below the headlamps, and

(b) adjusted and aimed so that, at a distance of 8 m from the lamp, the centre of the beam is at least 10 cm below the height
of the fog lamp.

(3) The fog lamp wiring and switch must permit simultaneous operation of the parking lamps, tail lamps, licence plate lamp and,
if required, clearance lamps.

(4) The operator of a vehicle may use fog lamps instead of headlamps when atmospheric conditions make the use of headlamps disadvantageous.

Theres nothing there about using fogs when theres no fog. Just you HAVE to to use them if there is (if equipped). And the yellow fogs are also legal.

Cops these days, dont know their motor vehicles act... haha.

Nonono, not Gordontse, it's 1chin3eseboi or something.

It's not an Si, but had canards on the lip, and some wheels w/ a silver lip. Fender markers as well. Nice looking car. Just wondering what the cops did to you..

the exterior mods aren't exactly subtle.

Attention for fail wheel fitment with time attack S2000 looking rims.

First thing I noticed was the hideous wheel fitment
WAY too tucked in..

those are s2k wheels I think. That night he had different ones. Not bad looking ones.

the yellow fogs do look a little heaty though.

too bad they cant be like the toyota/lexus fogs, its clear, but there is an amber ring inside the fog, thats what gives the yellow output.

I think heaty is tinted windows and big chrome rims, not yellow fogs :p

not as heaty as ur car being misregistered as a class 7 owner, along with the big chrome wheels and tint in a big white sedan... got pulled over 3 times in january.

all in all, i think ive been pulled over more in such a short span in the GS than in the prelude.

nothing happened i didn't even get a ticket... the trainee's with the female officer pulled me over to look at my car and check my history and then told me i could leave.

i got yellow fogs.. and i never get pulled ahah

the cops have never had any issues with my yellow fogs and front tint yet *knock on wood*but i will be removing my front tint soon just to be less heaty

fyi people, his car doesn't look like that no more.. he's a rim whore, he switch rims so much.

Oh, yeah I noticed tehre was a 3rd officer in the back seat. That's good they didn't give you anything.

He cut into the left turning lane just to get behind you. Right then I was like, damn he's going to get pulled over.

You are a rim whore haha.. I saw on the 8th gen color page, you have a different set of rims from each update.

having different fail fitment rims is not wheel whoring i m sorry.
