Oh wow, so much hate. Chill out guys.

Oh boy kobefans, what a mess, but you do have options.

The paper that you signed, as long as you get to keep a copy of it with yours and your landlord's signature, it should suffice (I am assuming here that it's some sort of agreement between you and the landlord about the terms and conditions of your rental.) You may get more information by contacting these folks: http://www.tenants.bc.ca/

I'm a little bit confused about your case, since you seem like the straight and narrow type while your landlord is obviously on the WAY shady side, why would you choose to live there? Either way, yes, you can report these things to the police. Unfortunately, your landlord will probably kick you out as a result (if not worse).

Actually, if you want, you can probably walk into the Chanel/Louis Vuitton store downtown, provide your landlord's information (address, etc.), tell them that he's selling a bunch of fake Chanels/LVs and they will take care of it for you. They have as much interest in keeping guys (like your landlord) shut down as you do, if not more. This way, its a little more subtle than reporting them to the police, which will require YOUR NAME as the complainant.

^now, I'm not sure how effective it will be to report to the respective stores, but at the purse forum, several of the ladies managed to get shops/businesses shut down once they reported it to the store. I will gladly make a thread specific to your situation if you want, so you know that the ladies did that worked for them.

That's all I have, hope that helps!

Thanks for all the support and flames!

First of all, I am moving out for sure, I cannot stand it anymore. Just now the landlord refuse to refund me my deposit, so I am gonna report that anyways, as well as her illegal activities in her house, which means large amount of fake brand name products.

I dont feel bad to report someone who is doing something illegal.

Exactly.

Just move out because I see no point of starting shit with someone who might be associated with criminals.

FYI, you don't report to the police about tax related issues.. if you talk to any tax lawyer / accountant, they will gladly give you the CRA's snitch line.

However for the fake goods parts.. it is better that you talk to the original manufacturers.. They are the ones that initiate most of the investigation and give people a reward. keep a list of info, eg license plates dates etc etc. Even better a webcam.

LOL at people calling him a rat.

And then when you see someone stealing your car (or similar) you telling me you're not going to call the cops because that would make you a rat? Gimme a fucking break.

To the OP, not worth the trouble. Just move out. And who cares about having a signed agreement - you're not doing anything wrong so why worry? Revenue Canada isn't going to come after you for anything.

move your stuff out slowly and keep the bare essentials there. That way when you report them, they can't destroy much of your stuff. Definitely report them, b/c you as a renter have a lot of rights.

start a grow before u move out, then call the cops. Since you never technically lived there legally

JUST KIDDING.

Either way, if you dont like your landlord, move out. Why fuck him over? You're the one that moved in after signing the crappy piece of paper.

Move out and then report him. Your landlord is selling fake stuff and evading taxes. Make him/her pay their dues.

I'm surprised no one has suggested the OP demand a cut of the upstairs action.
