I just bought one couple months ago. IIRC, the chassis is different from back then, they now place the motor in the center of the car.

Mini4WD was extremely popular back when I was in elementary school in Japan. I bought at least 20 of those models. They were long gone though. Were they actually popular in North America as well? Those toys should come back.

Some toy shops in Hong Kong... there was a whole stack of them and I was the only person digging through it. There are also parts (like motors, those bumper wheels, and wheels) for sale. I think I paid less than CA$5.00 for the car.

Just curious, what's the MS chassis? It's pretty awesome as all the driveshafts are of equal lengths.

Here you go (if you can read chinese)

near the middle.

theres a stack of them about 10 high.

I grabbed one on friday.

WARNING: the rubber tires smell like industrial waste + gasoline, the rest of the kit a bit and after building the kit i had a massive headache.

not bad for bringing back memories though, makes me want to buy a real one and do it up.

I had about 7 or so cars back in the heyday. Everytime someone from HK came to visit, they would bring me a box of this and a gundam. Growing up... I got fatter and fatter, because relatives only brought food with them =. =

I had the gray one on the top right corner, and that's the only real one I had. I don't know where it when though.

I got had a 2 lane track with the criss cross thing, but it's long gone now.
