Timpo, come down and see me, I'll take you for a ride in a stock '08 F350 and show you what it can do.

You will be surprised.

What black smoke? When was the last time you saw/drove a newer diesel truck?

Black SC2 02-07-2009 11:22 AM

If you want something really out there, go for a 350 with a 6 door conversion. One of the customers of the shop I work at has one for a toy hauler to pull his snow machines and a few friends/ gear etc. It's pretty epic. I'll try to find out where it was built. The thing is wicked trick though. Heated gear box in the back too, though that's an easy one. You'll definitely have a rare bird that way though.

Here's a 6 door F650 from Cowboy Cadillac:

ford diesel is junk. dodge makes the best diesel engine. But you should wait for the heavy duty tundra. which will be out in 2010

international MXT

http://truckaccessoryguide.com/img/internationalmxt.jpg

it has the famed 7.3 litre motor that doesnt suck like the 6.0 in all the new fords. looks BA and you hardly ever see them

lifted 350 dime a dozen
and a gas truck is just a waste of time

brute_4s 02-07-2009 03:09 PM

alright i know everyones said it b4 but timpo's a retard...a tundra is a good truck in many ways but it depends what u want...if u want towpower, reliability, and long lasting the diesel is the way to go. my friends 07 f350 only revs to 5000 on the redline which makes for a loinglasting motor. horsepower doesnt matter thats why i say timpo is a tard, when it comes to trucks tourque is the main thing so deisel again...also even if u want horsepower its easier to plug a chip into a diesel and get it up to 50 to sixty pounds of boost and run close to 750 hp and over 1000 tourque, trust me, ive seen it so ford f350 all the way and timpo stfu

dodge does not make the diesel engine that is in the rams, its a cummins motor which is made by cummins.

2damaxmr2 02-07-2009 10:50 PM

yes i was going to say the cummins. but a lot of people on the forums doesnt understand the difference between dodge and ford.

i think he was talking about chipped / tuned diesels

when my neighbor decides to put on a smoke show with his ram 3500 you would think a landfill was burning a mountain of old tires

or you can have your own flame thrower for 60k

GordonTse 02-08-2009 02:36 AM

if theres tonne of black smoke from a diesel, you know its chipped/tuned

Rich Sandor 02-09-2009 01:24 AM

^ It depends. If it's tuned to run excessively rich, then yes, it will smoke.

Earlier today I sold a used '08 F350 with 60,000kms, and it runs cleaner than my race car.

Heavy duty commercial trucks, on the other hand, are emmissions exempt and are a completely different story. They smoke like volcanoes. (and they are the real culprit behind global pollution, along with ships and airplanes)

The only thing good about the dodge, is the engine - which isn't even made by dodge. The frame is crap, the suspension is crap, and the trannies are crap.

Cummins FTW, Dodge, FTL.

They do look cool, though.

i think there are some serious restrictions in place for commercial trucks now

03aspec 02-09-2009 07:23 PM

you would be amazed at the lengths that companies are going to now to reduce emissions on semi's.

Timpo 02-09-2009 10:53 PM

lifted trucks are ok but lifted cars are gay
