sti's sound meaner >=/

there are more sti's around too because they are one of , if not the easiest cars to import from the states.

lol I assume you own a evo, I was refering to the evo X MR which is 10k more. I know evo's respond better to mods thats what I allready stated. In the end a subaru will out last a evo plain and simple and perform far better overall.

although i'm not sure about the newer ones.

personally i think i'd rather have Lancer Evolution X GSR

i sat in a EVO x and i just loved it.

have you sat in a new sti? only thing I would choose differently is having the recaros that the evo gets.

same shit, sti seats r made by recaros too, just without the huge red RECARO badge on it.
u would pick an evo over an sti just simply because of a badge, thats RICE.

I have sat in both the 08 STI as well as the 08 GSR and MR seats. Regardless of the manufacture of both sits, the ones in the Evo holds you way better.

I am not sure how much truth you hold in your claim regarding STI lasting longer than Evo, but I do understand that Subaru has a better reputation in terms of reliability compared to Mitsubishi.

TOPEC 02-08-2009 07:43 PM

they are both reliable cars, it's just subaru has a better reliable rep than mitsu.
reason for this is when the evo came out, ricers just slapped on whatever parts they liked and blow the shit outta their engine, then go on net cussing, flamming, bashing the shit outta the manufactures. when u hear more stories about ricers blowing up engines than actual power making, it makes the car sound like it's not reliable.

a great example of this is dumbasses trying to do burnouts, donuts, redline clutch drops, all end up breaking their tranmision/diffs and trying to claim warrenty. when they break their shit, they go back to dealership which tells them to fuck off, they go online and bash bash bash, while no one gets to hears the other side of the story why the tranny/diff broke.

I totally agree, evo wins in the seating category for sure

haha, the sti seats are not actually recaros pal:)

jimmerz 02-08-2009 09:51 PM

this argument will never end just like with the previous generations of both cars =.="

true, each year all the car reviewers pick one or the other. Its all personal preference in what you want out of a 50,000 dollar car. I would start with a STI, then later move to a EVO. Own both for awhile and go from there, in a perfect world I would own both and call it a day :)

monkeywrench 02-09-2009 03:49 PM

seem to spot more evos than stis lately too

^lol nice pic, EVOs: ur fucked nao.

Adsdeman 02-09-2009 03:55 PM

Comfort and the fact that i work for subaru!

.Renn.Sport 02-09-2009 04:35 PM

until Mitsu have a proper 6MT for the EVO, i'm still gonna go with the STI.

Evolutionian 02-10-2009 02:05 AM

theres more evos around.. but still like 2 in a month.. stis are like 1 in two month.. lol

the North American version of the STi gets wider seats for the bigger bodytypes of Americans. JDM STi seats are much tighter, probably a lot closer to the EVO's seats.

Mugen EvOlutioN 02-10-2009 07:52 AM

ya despite the EVO x hasnt been in the market for that long, i still see the latest gen Subies a lot more .

Subies has way better interior than EVO. Well EVo's interior layout , dashboard etc etc is exactly the same as the regular Lancer GTS, sat in my friends and i can tell u i almost cut my hand touching the knobs and the dash.

As for the look, i prefer X > new gen of Impreza.

04 STi still looks the best to me, not feeling the latest trend of the STi
