Disney World in Florida!

Hey all,

I am planning a trip this summer to Disney World in Florida. I will fly down to Tampa, meet up with my girl and then we drive there. According to her past experience, it will take around 3 days to visit all the attractions. There are tons and tons of Disney hotels in the area and I am just wondering which one is more memorable and worth the $? Or is it cheaper/better to book hotels located outside of the Land? Anything decent/romantic restaurants in the area?

Also, is it better to book the trip package myself on the Disney World website (hotel, admission, etc.) Or from a travel agency?

we stayed at the marriott buena vista outside of disneyworld b/c we rented a car and wanted to drive around a lot. We booked our trip from a different site. Lots of outlet malls in Orlando and they have the only nike clearance store close to the biggest rack room store. You can pretty much spend a whole day for each park. Bring lots of snacks b/c food is expensive in the parks.

Sorry to Jack the thread but I thought it would help us both.

Could any of you recommend any other things to do in Florida? thinking of going to Miami/Orlando for about 1 - 1.5 weeks. of course will be renting a car. I know there's the disneyland stuff but any other good attractions? shops?

south beach, Cape Canaveral if you like that stuff, coco beach. Lots of place to see. In Miami there was a big mall that had mostly out stores like premium outlets here.
