The MAKO is a completely different line..its part of the synergy product line. slow-fastback is right about those sticks being the new stealth line. don't expect anything new to come out since the 55s, 65s, 75s, 85s and RS just came out.

Bauer Re-Akt Titanium cage for just over $53usd shipped: BRAND NEW!!! BAUER FM RE-AKT OVAL TITANIUM HOCKEY HEMET CAGE | eBay

I use the original Itech Ti cage and its like half the weight of the standard steel cages of that era. I'm not sure how much lighter the Reakt cage is over the 9900. The bars do look a bit thicker than the thin 9900 oval bars though.

Got some new steel put into my skates along with a radius contour....just in time for my ashl regional game tonight! Also picked up some new Labeda Grippers for roller....but its roller, so who cares..lol

mickz 05-04-2012 11:17 PM

^^ What steel did you go with?

6thGear. 05-05-2012 01:19 AM

Just the standard TUUK LS2. It's my 2nd set of steel on this boot and it works fine. I was gonna spring for the TUUK LS Fusion, but the Labeda wheels ate up my budget, which I just noticed is the Millenium wheels and not the Grippers I thought. Although I did go to Ice Level, thought it was a bit more expensive than THS which I wanted to go originally but I got off work late....

You mean the rivets that attach the holders to the boot? I know Cyclones will.

SolidPenguin 05-06-2012 01:27 AM

I do riveting at Richmond Chek

Sorry, like/don't like about what? I am guessing you mean sticks?

belka 05-07-2012 09:03 AM

I recently bought two Total Ones with a Toews curve. The stick in itself is great, just have to get used to the more aggressive curve, normally I use a Sakic/Hall. Once I snap the Total Ones I'll try the MAKO or APX.

Head to toe:
Bauer 9900
NBH Elite Shouldies
One95 Elbows
Bauer 4-Roll 2012 Mitts
One95 Pants
One95 Shins
Vapor XXX with Tendon and Tongue tucked in.
X60 Malkin 77 flex

Yes, I am a Bauer fan boy. Whats up?

Helmet - Easton S17 with Bauer Visor HS23
Pretty decent helmet has excellent adjustment mechanisms to it. The giro system makes the helmet stay extra nice and snug

Shoulders - Bauer Vapor:Velocity
Nothing to complain about it does the job. Has some of the honey comb technology the X:60 has. I think this was one of those products Hockey shop had made for them specifically

Elbows - Bauer X: Shift
Bicep protector interferes with the arm part of Shoulder Pads. But movement is great for the cost

Pants - Bauer OneComp
Phenominal Pants! Awesome fit! Nothing to complain. Also another product Hockey shop had made specifically for them

Shins - Tackala (not sure of model)
Great shin pads for those who have a wider leg and cant fit into those damn skinny vapors/supremes. Also has a nice removable liner fr you to wash and prevent smell.

Skates - CCM U+06
Great skate for the price. For those who used to use those old school Tacks 452 etc these are the perfect transition into a newer gen skate. CCM has been good at making skates for people with a wider foot, as Bauer accommodates those with narrow feet. Only complaint is the chassis' screws that hold the blade in get lose easy and the tendon guard is fixed to the plastic moulding of the boot i cracked mine while flexing it to break it in.

Gloves - Bauer 4 Roll Pro
Awesome glove, lots of movement.

Weapon of Choice - Bauer X:60 & Bauer CompLE Limited Edition (hockey shop product)

for those who know their hockey skates does anyone know i there is a boot that's wider in the forefoot than the flexlite line? i currently have the 3.0 in the EE and they don't feel like they're wide enough. if i decide to tie it more snug in the forefoot the outside of my foot starts to feel like it's being pinched inwards if anyone knows what i mean. this was supposedly the widest boot bauer makes and wider than other brands.

any suggestions?

SolidPenguin 05-07-2012 03:15 PM

Theres not much else wider than the Flexlites in the EE. You could try some of the extra wide Grafs too. If not punching could be your last resort.

Make sure you arent lacing the bottom too tight either, cause that can pull the sides up and make it a bit narrower

!Nhan 05-07-2012 03:18 PM

how i currently tie my skates, at the bottom it's just tight enough (for lack of a better word) so that it's not drooping if you know what i mean.
