Woman shot dead with four-year-old in back seat http://www.theprovince.com/news/Woma...357/story.html I think I'd rather raise my family in East Van than Surrey now a days...It really sucks |
Wow. 4 threads of the same incident in 1 day. In addition to the other recent shootings, I think we have enough content for another RS Sub-forum. |
i cant wait for CSI-Vancouver and CSI-Surrey tv show |
this is gettin way out of control .. 15 shootings in the last month alone is just ridiculous |
Gotta feel bad for the 4yr old in the back seat, watching his mom get shot and die right in front of him. |
^ + Growing up without a mom and knowing/remembering what happened. Oh man.. =( |
I doubt the 4 year old will remember the shooting when he gets older. |
legalize marijuana and most of these problems would be solved |
Hmm I remember stuff from when I was 4 o_O He might've just blocked it out though. |
Sad, parents lifestyle should not scar the kid for life. Scary part ws her car was still moving |
i feel sorry for the lady who died and her son who witnessed it.. but with these gang members shootin each other up...i could care less about them dieing...their scum, and they bring nothing productive to soceity...let them kill each other 1 by 1 for all i care. as long as innocent people arnt dieing..i dont care. |

all these cops everywhere as I was going to the hospital yesterday, i saw the tarp on the car, I knew someone got smoked |
I like how people only tell one side of the story. For example: Media "How can anyone be stupid enough to ruin a little boys life by shooting his mother in front of him? This is the worst type of crime ever, criminals are getting more ruthless every day" Potential reality: The mothers a prostitute that abuses the boy everyday The mother killed a bunch of ppl infront of the little boy, and would continue to do so The mother killed his little brother Just because it's a mother, doesn't mean she's exactly an angel either. As for the gangster doing the shooting, maybe he would've thought twice about pulling the trigger if he noticed the boy in the back. But nobody likes being politically correct nowadays, lets all just base our opinions off speculation: the gangster has a low IQ and shot an innocent angel infront of her child. |

That chick probably knew her boyfriend/baby's father was involved with drugs and gangs. She had it easy with him paying all the bills. Getting capped was very unlikely, but she didn't worry about it... and it cost her. It's the price for living that lifestyle. If you smoke and get lung cancer, well, you knew the risks... If you street race and lose your license, well, those are the risks... Personally I want to see mass chaos on the streets. When are we going to see Niko Bellic style AK bullets and RPG rockets flying down Robson street?! |

Truth is, if I were a criminal, I could see myself being the absolutely most ruthless criminal. I mean, honestly, if you have an enemy, your #1 responsibility is to completely break them. If you can't get access to them, then naturally you would kill everyone they ever cared about. You can't have mercy when it comes to warfare, it's complete submission or be destroyed. Sort of why the fight against the Taliban is going so poorly. Swat Valley in Pakistan had a huge taliban rally the other day. If they want to defeat them, they should use nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons to completely and totally wipe them out. The way it's going currently, the coalition forces seem, to me, to be fighting the battle the way the Taliban wants to fight it. |
sigh another tragic |

These guys are getting guns and blowing holes in each other, and police are simply making arrests based on speculation and suspicion. This is why they're tried under trial but not convicted. We know they're gangsters when they walk into the court room but we need solid evidence to prove it. And that's what our cops seem to lack, they just can't dig hard enough for evidence. Other municipalities outside of BC are able to, why can't ours? Knock-out punch: pull my friend over for doing 55km/h, no front plate, and exhaust exactly 7dB over the limit, instead of keeping your eyes on the real gangsters. We pay our cops to ticket ourselves, not to protect us. The real protection just came in recently when Premier Campbell just appointed like 300 new special police to protect us. So what we're our cops main priorities before? Just hand out tickets for small nit-picking things and generate revenue... |

and stop trying to mix your friend being an idiot with this, hope your friend gets pulled over again |

did anyone read the comments people posted? Someone proposed we need Batman to protect our streets |

These stats are based on percentages as well. BC's population is roughly the same as other provinces with less than half of crime in different area's. How do you explain that? Bigger percentage of crime = more convictions. However, to fully understand the performance of a province's ability to put criminals away, you have to look at the CONVICTION PERCENTAGE RATE |
women and children now hey, no doubt there will be guaranteed retaliation for this one. |
