I'm just glad I don't live in the US or Ontario where you get raped up the dickhole on insurance.

true, they pay more. but it's also because those are for profit companies. have you forgotten that icbc is a crown corp? they're not supposed to be profitting!

the money collected is to pay out for benefits, and other public services. NOT to make 250million in the first half of 2008 and another 260million in 2007! and it certainly was not created to make certain individuals extremely wealthy with nice severance packages after they decide to leave after their scam was uncovered.

this is one of the more retarded things i have read in this thread, how much would you like it if not only was icbc the most evil thing thing sliced bread, kicked your dog, raped your grandma and all the other stupid bs you kids think they did, but they also charged you for the service, and then you had to pay for them with your taxs as well? they turn a profit it goes backl to the province, they are a buisness whos assets are held by everyone in bc that pays taxs

and a reminder for the rest of you fucktards that expands on rrxstars offer to get quote elsewhere, if you hate icbc so much, vote with your wallet. legally you are only required to hold the minimum third party liability from icbc, all the other optional insurance and even additional liability coverage can be purchased from a private insurance company.

but none of you will take me up on this offer, because they (icbc/satan) will 95% of time be cheaper than a private party. and since your all cheap fucks i dont imagine any of you will make the switch simply based on principle

An insurance company asking money from a different company versus an insurance company asking money from itself. Which do you think would yield me the highest compensation amount?
Do you know what subrogation is? Do you understand that there is no guarantee of recovery in subrogation?

"Your" insurance company in this scenario would first have to put out the wad of cash... which might be smaller than you'd think it would be. The payment from your claim has to come from somewhere...

Win.

All you whiners, grow the fuck up and do something rather than just rail and bitch and whine.
