I highly doubt D-Fish will leave the Lakers. He will receive soooooo much heat for it (lol play-on-words) from L.A. and he will be forever deemed as a Bandwagon player much like Lebron is right now. Plus I would assume he is genuinely loyal to both Phil Jackson and Kobe.

As for AI, why not. That guy deserves a ring anyways and he worked so hard and came up close. He may be past his prime, but he is still AI and he would provide excellent support as the Heat's point guard.

AI + Shaq wouldn't be too bad. Veterans would only benefit the Heat considering the team is run by 3 very young superstars.

Not really racist! 07-11-2010 01:07 PM

LeBron went South because his mom went West.

Just the fact that Lebron was gonna do a 1 hr special to announce his pick was a kick in the nuts to Cavs fans everywhere. It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever watched in my life. I was shaking my head when they were showing Lebron in different jerseys. Also, Cleveland fans have suffered enough. I can't believe he chose to build it up like that and choose a different team. What a dick.

Also, Kevin Durant announced his new deal over Twitter. He didn't have a 1 hr special. Matter of fact, no one's ever had a 1 hr special to announce his deal.

Bosh... I don't even know where to start. As soon as he became a free agent, he was on Twitter, saying how he was so excited to choose a new team. He even asked his followers or whatever to choose a team for him. Toronto fans should boo his ass just like they do to Wince.

I still like DWade though.

Anyway, they're gonna be good but they're still gonna be missing some pieces. If they get Mike Miller, I guess that fills their 3 pt shooter slot. They still need a rebounder, a solid interior defender (Come on, Bosh is gonna get killed my Bynum and Gasol), a point guard, and some veteran guys that know their roles. They won't until they fill up the holes with solid role players.

Superstars can't win a championship by themselves.
Kobe and Shaq needed Horry, Fox, Fisher
Boston's big 3 needed Posey, PJ Brown
Even Jordan needed BJ Armstrong, Grant, Paxon, Kerr, Kukoc...

Anyway, I still can't belive Lebron chose to ride shotgun to DWade instead of leading his own team.

/end rant

Sorry but you're just a jealous tool. Contract is over. An athlete has every right in the world to choose where he / she wants to play for. STFU please.

wuuhoo 07-12-2010 12:23 AM

I dont know why some are you guys are still upset. Miami got the big 3, big deal.

We all knew Bosh was going to leave TO, no doubt. James leaving Cleveland was a shock, but he even said himself: He wants to win.

Cleveland, with or without James is still a pretty good team in the east.

But really, at the end of the day, Miami may look good on paper, BUT they are not guranteed to win it all period.

dunno which of you here is a celtics fan ~ but i am and im a little pissed that tony allen left ... dunno why celtics wouldn't give him that 3rd year he's still young-ish and totally able to play

on a side note rasheed wallace is thinking of ... uh i guess it would be coming out of retirement?

but for me tony allen > rasheed wallace so DISAPPOINTED
hopefully we can keep nate robinson :(

I think it sucks for him to leave, I hope they can keep a rope on Ray Allen...

Rondo is doing really well now and just keep on climbing... nate is a great player and has helped celtics bench a lot.

Lets Hope Celtics can keep the team together.

According to various reports, the Raptors are on the verge of shipping Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix for guard Leandro Barbosa and forward Dwayne Jones.

The Raptors would then reportedly ship Jones and guard Jose Calderon to the Charlotte Bobcats for forward Boris Diaw and centre Tyson Chandler.

Good moves so far by Bryan Colangelo if this all happens... thumbs up.. loooks like he is building another Phoenix suns... now, what about getting rid of Triano!!

Barbosa/Jack
DeRozan
Diaw
Bargnani
Chandler

It's no title contention or anything but is capable of somehow sneak into 8th in the east.

MR_BIGGS 07-12-2010 11:20 AM

Talking to some Toronto peeps, they are fairly happy with these moves. Colangelo pretty much moved 2 shitty contracts out of Toronto.

hotjoint 07-12-2010 11:28 AM

thats a good pickup for toronto. Those 3 guys are vets and could really help the team get into the 8th spot

wuuhoo 07-12-2010 11:32 PM

Season should be fun to watch.

OT: anyone play bball at sfu gyms?

Michael Jordan, part owner of the Bobcats has stopped the deal from happening.

hotjoint 07-13-2010 12:54 PM

:lol Jordan royally fucked the raps. Chander is going to the mavs instead for dampier and another few players. Damn I was really hoping that the raps woulda gotten diaw and chander.

411ken 07-13-2010 12:54 PM

"After Charlotte's potential deal with Toronto fell through, the Bobcats sent Chandler and fellow center Alexis Ajinca to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday for center Erick Dampier, forward Eduardo Najera, shooting guard Matt Carroll and cash considerations."

I like Chandler.. he is effective when healthy and not taking stupid fouls..... too bad for the Raps.. They better trade Turk to the Suns soon before they change their minds as well

I'm pretty sure MJ is the owner or majority owner of the team.. I remember hearing/reading the news about him being the 1st former player to own his own team.

I doubt Big Z signing there will scare anyone though...as long as they keep signing Older peeps, it's all good with me lol
