Water marks/stains on Volk

I've read the other thread about cleaning volks.. my situation is slightly different from that guy because he is trying to get brake dust off..

my wheels have water marks on them
i tried using meguair's car wash with water but it didnt get them off.. in fact i think it got worse after that (although i made sure the wheels were dry after the wash)

im going to try p21 gel - just ordered from icanpolish
but does anyone know of a better way to get rid of the marks?

Give 50/50 Water/Isopropyl Alcohol a shot, if not try 50/50 Water/vinegar. *I assume no responsibility if damaged further* :) That said, give it a shot, good luck. Try the wheel cleaner first though.

Let me know how the gel works. I would also like to know how to get rid of the marks.

did you use those on volks?

what kinda finish is the rim. if its magnesium you might be out of luck once the colour changes finish .... Oo theres no saving them...

but any other finish use the p21 or a light cutting polish should get rid of the unsightly stains.

How about the bright anodized finished lips?

loyanga 02-21-2009 07:48 PM

WWC 02-22-2009 11:07 AM

oh anodized... are they kinda like the same finish on G35 rims? because if they are stained or etched your out of luck. email me a pictuer at ctr02@hotmail.com and let me take a look thanks.

tried p21s today - let set for aruond 1.5 hours and hosed off
water marks are still there - but it SEEMS to have faded a bit
i think i'll try washing it again later and see if it gets better =/

and WWC - i'll send you a picture of the marks.

loyanga 02-25-2009 11:03 PM

this time tried scrubbing with the p21s.. then left it for 1.5 hours again..
stains still there, prominent as ever
then tried clay bar... still there.
i think im about to give up unless people have any other suggestions.
