That's the shootout in Reynosa, 5 drug dealers dead and 7 cops injured or something. Mainstream doesn't cover this because it's a daily occurrence in Mexico; 6000 died last year in the drug war.
Makes Vancouver shootings look like schoolyard fights.

Jason, Why do you keep posting thread after thread about this drug war? I highly doubt any RSers frequent the border towns near Texas. We should be more concerned about the crap happening in our own back yard. This hardly affects the average tourist visiting Cancun or Acapulco, and anyone who thinks so is an idiot.

I was in Monterrey for Christmas a couple years ago. Its a pretty cool city.

MEXICO CITY — The Mexican army on Friday announced that it has made the largest seizure of drug-cartel weapons in Mexico's history.
The cache of 540 rifles, 165 grenades, 500,000 rounds of ammunition and 14 sticks of TNT were seized on Thursday at a house in the city of Reynosa, across the border from McAllen, Texas, Mexican Assistant Attorney General Marisela Morales said.
