shit look at 1:36 how BIG the SLR is next to the VW sonata.

monkeywrench 02-20-2009 09:37 PM

wow such a good pick up speed even when rolling like that

shenmecar 02-20-2009 09:47 PM

where are all the cops?

KingDeeCee 02-20-2009 09:49 PM

LOL, did they pass those cops at the end?

Berzerker 02-20-2009 09:59 PM

That was intense... that SLR is quick. Is the highbeam a code for GTFO to the cars they are approaching?

Berz out.

blacK20 02-20-2009 10:01 PM

Something doesn't look right. Almost looks like the video is being fast forwarded the entire time?

Carl Johnson 02-20-2009 10:05 PM

damn those car must at least 10+ mil, last i heard was like a x5 in china even costs 700k rmb or something

The Chinese adapoted a different kind of law enforcement... as long as you got balls and $$, there could be no cops :)

and there isn't too many people who would phone the police everytime they see some cars going 20+kph above the speed limit on the highway. ( in GVRD )

Usually, those people who tell the police are on with shitty cars and hated rich people...

Being rich in the PRC could meanthat you have shit load of supporter/helper who could XX anyone who inform the police about your midnight rush

talking about the video itself,

THE SLR HAS NO LICENSE PLATE AS WELL.. lol

I thought it was fastforward...but it's not.. Awosome cars, great roads, honourable guts :) I guess they went up to 250kph+

The 911 turbo was getting smoked... but it's ok... 3.6L Flat-6 TWin turbo Vs 5.4L supercharged V8

Boostaholic 02-20-2009 10:40 PM

there are so many nice new roads developed in china and at night they are so deserted(imagin 4 lanes with no sight of any car nor people). When I went back two years ago there were at times I just wish I had a fast car to rip it up in those streets.

StylinRed 02-20-2009 10:41 PM

at the 12 second mark thats a person walking on the left there

woozzle 02-20-2009 11:02 PM

too much braking...they're not even going that fast. Engine is never revved up to the max

JHatta 02-20-2009 11:08 PM

ok those guys have balls to drive that fast in traffic

and equal parts of fucking dumbassery.

the inevitable hit the fucking barrier, flip a few times, kill the cute chinese girl movie star sititng in your passanger seat, cry on the internet.

StaxBundlez 02-21-2009 12:34 AM

wow fuck i feel like i'm watching a maximum tune game
i remember days like this
fun when you were young
but soooo fucken stoopid

those guys got nice cars and lots of balls

but its pretttttyyy dumb

you 02-21-2009 12:38 AM

boost needs to be cranked the fuck up on the 911..then maybe we'll see a fair match
although the spooling sounds awsome

tonyvu 02-21-2009 12:48 AM

SLR.... such a beast....

AzNightmare 02-21-2009 01:37 AM

Wow, the SLR is so wide.
I'm kinda confused. Is the camera man in the 911 Turbo?
I thought in the beginning, there was a black 911 ripping it, but then it got passed by the camera man's car. Was that car not involved?

Exactly. These kids must be HELLA rich.
A car like the SLR is probably well over a million Canadian, in the China market.
The police can't do anything in China. People in this class are usually very very connected to the government, and are likely to have "black" military/government license plates. That plate alone overrides local police authorities.

.Renn.Sport 02-21-2009 03:14 AM

military and government plates are white, not black

Actually I think they were going really fast, its just that the acceleration is really quick. I've been in quite a few fast cars in my time e.g. M3, 997, etc. but I was really blown away when a friend took me for a spin in his LP560 in HKG. When he floored it on the highway it sounded like a giant veggie blender behind my head, my chest was pressed into the seat, and suddenly we were around 250kph, and then braking. We were already cruising at normal highway speeds, but going from 100kph to around 250kph seemed completely effortless.

whoops i meant red; like the red "jing" in Beijing

AVS_Racing 02-21-2009 04:51 PM

shit..... the roads seems sooo nice compared to the pot hole filled crap we have here.

Carl Johnson 02-21-2009 05:11 PM

^
and you gotta love how they put the pothole lid right where the wheels touches the road. it's like they purposely did it just to give you a hard-ass ride.

Synaptik 02-21-2009 06:08 PM

to roll those kind of cars in shanghai means they're pretty damn hardcore alright. lots of balls and money.
