it's a shame that attraction of guys and girls are different. In general, most girls' initial attraction of a guy is their confidence, power, alpha male-ness and not really looks while guys' initial attract of a girl is their physical traits. |

^lol i'm just trying to say that though I agree with everyone here saying that the guy is a douche for constantly haggling her to lose weight, guys like their chicks, hot. The op may think "well I don't bug HIM and HIS weight", but does she really even care about his weight? That's just what I'm getting at. |
i know, and i agree with you completely |
wow.. this article couldnt have come at a better time http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_..._arent_you_hot |
^damn if I were that chick, I would take that offer. Especially if he offered to work out with me =o |

If not, then what? The guy is ashamed to be seen in public with the girl? Why not just "brown bag" the girl 24/7? |

"hey jim, whats with the bag on your girl?" "oh that, she just had face surgery for her beautiful face so it cant be exposed to uv light. you know how beautful faces are right hahaha....yeah you know what i mean (Y)" |

I think that you should be happy that your boyfriend is telling you that he is less attracted to you, and giving you an opportunity to do something about it. Rather than just leaving you. Sure, maybe he could have approached it with more tact, but either way, he was open and honest with you, what more could you ask for. |
sry black cloud.. im guilty.. haha see, u make an effort by going to the gym.. my gf just sits and studies... so i dont feel bad about telling her shes overweight |

if your boyfriend is not that in shape either then wtf....? he doesn't have the right to criticize you. 15-20 lbs to lose is quite a bit... i don't think you should do it on purpose though if it makes you uncomfortable. i think you should work on increasing overall relationship satisfaction instead. like put more effort into surprises, date ideas, etc, then the weight issue won't be as prominent... |
doesn't hurt to lose some weight or be more active and eat healthier |

I don't think I missed it if it was mentioned/asked before but.. did you put on the bit of weight since the relationship started and did he too, or did you both look the same since day 1? IMO, physical attraction is human nature, not superficial...it's really just the standards over physical looks that have just ballooned far past reasonable expectations. If you're comfortable in your own skin, feeling healthy, then kick king of hypocrispy to the curb. |
