It's, apparently, not a Chinese car. According to comments, it's a Holden Commodore VB from the late70s-80s. It sure looks like one. I'm all for bashing China, but this is undeserved.

Although still no where near top of class, the latest batch of Chinese cars aren't as bad as most people think in terms of crash safety. China has their own NCAP program now so things will likely continue to improve.

With that said though, I still won't buy a Chinese car right now, and probably won't for another 10-20 years. haha

They created the opposite problem in the first vid, from too soft of a frame to too stiff, some of those crumple zones will create so much g force that the passenger's organs will explode.

C-NCAP is so ghetto it doesn't even have high frame rate camera.

I think the crash performance of the car in the original video could have been greatly improved if the door latches were stronger. look how the doors pop open at impact.
