Going by the past responses I'm pretty sure nobody is interested but I'll post anyway.

Scenario game at Tsawwassen paintball on Sunday July 5th. If any of you ladies are planning on going and would like to play on the same team let me know through a PM or response in this thread. Will be a big turnout, massive game.

Trying again, this Sunday at panther paintball in Langley. Anyone interested in playing?

SCENARIO BIG GAME

10 Man Teams
( Sign up ahead of time or be assigned on the day)
1 - BOMB

Payouts for time limits of how long you hold onto the "BOMB"
Each 10 man team will scour the "playing field" looking for the "BOMB", once found and captured, the team gets a reward of 50 paintballs for every minute of possession time. If a team holds the "BOMB" for 10 minutes.....500 paintballs for the squad, 2 minutes 100 paintballs etc.... A ref will be on top of the timing and once the "BOMB" is captured and in contact at all times with a player on a squad, the clock starts. When the squad loses possession the timer ref will radio the neutral zone with their total, and when the arrive in the neutral zone to regenerate they will be told of their winnings and Paintballs will be awarded at the end of the game.

Regenerations will happen each time a minimum of
5 players from a squad
are in the neutral zone.

Game time limits will be approx 2.5 hours per game
depending on start time

( 2 games during the day, with our usual "BIG GAME" to finish the day)

Entry:
$30 per player

Paintballs :
$100 Case of Recreational
$30 / 500 of Recreational
OR
$110 Case of Prime Evil
$40 / 500 of Prime Evil

Initial Entry and 1 case save $10
IE:
Entry & Recreational (Case 2000) = $100
Entry & Prime Evil (Case 2000) = $110

Off Topic Question:

I am a beginner trying to buy a decent gun. I have my eye on a Dangerous Power G3, but my buddy who had many years of exp told me the Ion was a good pick. Which one is good? $500 is my budget...

I'm not the best person to ask because I'm a casual player and not really up to date on all the markers. I use a mini which I really like, it was sort of a pain at first breaking in but now it shoots great, fast and straight.

If you're just getting in I would at least consider used. You get way more gun for your money as they don't hold there value very well. You might also be able to find the type of marker your looking for with a tank and hopper for the same price you'll pay for just the marker at a store. It's up to you but I'd at least look and compare.

Goodluck

if you're just starting out, you'll need to budget for more than just the marker. pods, packs, gloves, goggles, swabs, cleats perhaps, good paint, a hopper, barrels, tank, batteries, etc...

if your budget for all the above is $500, the smart parts vibe is the best beginner low-pressure electro out there. $200 for the vibe. for a $100 more, you can get an ion, like your friend suggested which is noticeably better but not quite a tourney marker either.

if your budget of $500 is for a marker alone, and if you want to stick to smart parts, the smart parts eos is pretty good. for a bit less, you can get an invert mini. tiny ass gun with some non-standard design elements. rips though.

Bumping it up

Come on ladies this is happening tomorrow. Weather is going to be great the game should be fun. Shoot me a PM if you're interested in going, we'll probably be there around 9:30. If anyone wants to come but doesn't want to spend a ton on paint I'll sell you 500 balls for $20, so $30 for admission and $20 for paint. Even better then that get a friend to come, split an entry with case + 1 admission and it will be $65 per person and you each get 1000 paintballs and includes rentals if needed.

1 entry + case = $100
1 entry = $30

$100+30 / 2 = $65 per person.

WAY too many bad experiences with Panther staff to ever go back to that field. Last scenario of theirs I went to was horribly organized as well. I hope that this one is better organized, and I even more hope that Chris has hired some better staff since last playin there.

I agree they certainly have some issues and the staff is not the greatest but I've been to all there scenario games over the last couple years and generally speaking I've had a good time.
