Wow, that sounds pretty cool. Do they supply any gear, or is this to professional? I'm interested in doing it.

I'd call to double check but I don't see why they wouldn't. If the weather is horrible and I don't get to this one I will be hitting the one in July for sure.

I've bene itching to play too.. but i'm just not down with the stupid field prices. I have 2 private fields to play on, no field fee.. bring your own gear/paint/air and you play as long as you want.. its the best! and cheap!

I prefer bigger games, 15+ per side which you probably aren't going to get at private fields very often. I don't really mind paying for it in the grand scheme of things it's fairly inexpensive. Then there's the whole air issues which I've mentioned in past paintball threads. I know my marker is a pig but I get 1 hopper and 2 pods per fill at best, no fill station no play.

Yeah rental are shit, you are better off buying a decent used one from a paintball store for $100... That what i did as a beginner, i went to the paintball place in surrey, checked out their used guns which are pretty much used guns with brand new seals. I guess you can call them refurbished... Bought one with the set and bam out to my first paintball game.. the gun is still with me as i have friends that play with me, all in all go with your own gun.. just not a CT brand or wallmart.. Go to an acctual paintball marker supplier.

I have bled from getting shot before but I've also made people bleed it happens. Depends on how close you are, where and how you get hit. Some people might be shooting hot which again is bullshit and their responsibility to make sure they are chronoing properly. I was at a stag last year and I shot my buddies best man from probably 80 feet away and because of the angle it caused a pretty bad bleed on his neck. The stag was like 3 weeks before the wedding and when I seen him on the wedding day the welt was still there. I wasn't being malicious and my gun wasn't shooting hot it was just a freak thing.
There haven't been many times I've gone paintballing and didn't end up with some welts bleeding or not.
I don't doubt people some people cheat, wiping and what not but that can happen anywhere. I do think for the most part though people are honest or at least I'd like to believe that.

LOL at missing out on another game due to weather.
Anyway, another scenario game this Sunday at Panther Paintball in langley. It works out to $100 per person with a case of paint. That also includes gun/mask if you don't have your own.
A case of paint is 2000 paintballs, for those who haven't played before using a rental you probably would not shoot near that. It says on the website you can split it with someone. So $50 each and you both get entry and half a case of paint (1000) balls.
Like always I'm only attending if weather is nice, in this case I'm going to say it needs to be nice Saturday and Sunday because I want the ground to dry a bit. As is the weather looks good for the weekend. www.pantherpaintball.com http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CABC0308

Playing a game that relies on the honour & honesty system with a bunch of strangers is such a fail idea. Granted, not everyone are douches out in the field, but it only takes 1 or 2 to destroy the integrity of the game.

Too many fucking cheaters dude.
Too many fucking crybabies too.
I had to punch someone up in the parking lot once for being such a fucking baby.
At panther, there's that little ravine on the far edge of the playing field, it's legal territory to go into. I crawled through there to flank a group of guys hiding on the top of the ridge firing at my team from a pretty good position.
I managed to pop up almost behind them and lit all 5 of them up, and one guy turns around after I popped him and shot me a good 3-4 seconds after I hit him. He then bitched to the ref about cheating, ref said no, he did not cheat, then he bitched that I was hit.(again after he was already tagged)
Crybaby then whipped off his mask on the field to yell at me. I continued to hunt his teammates.
Next round I got owned in like 5 seconds.
Round after that in the sand dunes(which I hated) I caught him sneaking behind the out-of-bounds hedge row, so I lit up the entire hedge with my last paint in hopes of hitting him through the bush. One of the shots hit him in the side of the neck and he starts WAILING like an east indian woman.
Later that day in the parking lot, he aimed his paintball gun at me and made a noise like he was going to shoot me with his finger on the trigger and no barrel plug. I walked over, smashed him in the face, and left. I haven't been back as I find most paintballers to be genuinely fucking retarded and at least 25% of players are dirty fucking cheaters.

I mean of course I've ran into the odd prick but that's no different then any other aspect of life really. I know the ravine you're talking about as well and ya that's totally fine the way you describe it the guy deserved a shot anyway. I can't speak for anyone else there but I don't cheat and I try and treat people how I'd like to be treated.

I used to play... 3 summers ago, a LOT!
I met a bunch of great people there, but holy fuck, for like 3 trips in a row it was nothing but pricks. This one fat fucking guy had 3 clear shots on his neck and lied right to my buddy's face about being hit. He was so cocky because he was in the Canadian army and was bragging about being such a good tactician, so when he was taken out he refused to quit due to his inflated ego.
I need a new detent for my gun and probably a full servicing, I have a chrome-finish 2005 autococker pro with about $1000 in mods and a CF tank. I'd like to play again!

Weather has been decent and looks like sun tomorrow. If anyone is going and wants to play on the same team shoot me a PM, I'll check it in the morning.

Weather was wicked, game was alright. Turnout was probably around 110 people so not that big for a scenario game. One team was overly stacked which made it kind of dumb but there's not much you can do about that.
There's another scenario game May 24th at Panther and another July 5th in Tsawwassen if anyone is interested.

LOL. Thats funny, cause I once went PB with my a friend of my ex. He's in the Canadian Army as well and brought out his army buddies. So there I was, the only none army guy. They go off talking about flanking positions and stuff. I'm thinking to myself, sweet I'm in a good group and this is gonna be crazy. Out of this group, the "first aid" guy was the first to go. By the time I was taken out, I walk out and realized I outlasted the whole group of army guys. This lasted the whole day. Quote:

^^^ not all military tactics will work in paintball. you can't shoot through the brush or through wooden barricades. people also have less fear of the paint so you'll have more aggressive players. and you obviously can't shoot the same distances.
but still, damn. too bad i'm looking at houses today otherwise i'd totally be up for some pb with my trusty a5. ha, i should totally break out my old vision eye impluse as well.
