Just watched a video made by a biker on his Suzuki sportbike who took a speeding ticket to court. He was so in love with himself, even showed the female jodge his abs. Boasted about how great a rider he was. Said he was speeding to get away from a car full of female college students who were after him. He boasted how he always gets off tickets.. Judge convicted him and he cursed his way out of court to his bike in th eparking lot. Wearing a tank top, jeans and a do-rag on his head, he proceeded to rev the engine and dump the bike big time...with the cameras rolling. Love Karma!!!

This may be slightly off topic but I saw a cyclist that used the cross walk get nailed the other night and I was wondering, would the driver be found at fault? There seems to be some kind of notion floating around that if you hit a cyclist or pedestrian, you're almost always 100% at fault or could be held liable for damages even if ICBC decides that you're truly not at fault. Anyone want to elaborate on this?

I charged cyclists who rode across X walks and did NOT charge the driver who hit them. Specially when the idiot cyclist continues his illegal ride on the sidewalk out onto the X walk without stopping. ICBC did not agree & wanted me to charge the driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian. I suggested they look at their motor vehicle act definitions, I also told them I would support the car driver and act as hit witness in any civil proceedings they might consider. I told the car driver to get ICBC to pay for his damages and not accept any reduction in "discount" or cough up the deductible. They paid up.

Both of these situations are dangerous, interrupt traffic flow and potentially result in injury or death. The adults being dealt with in this story that feel put upon definitely know better and have no room to complain.

What part of the MVA would the people in the story have been charged with?

If they were crossing the road outside of this "pedestrian friendly" zone but there were no moving vehicles for the pedestrians to impede the flow of, they are in the clear, correct?

From reading your post, I am assuming that ALL of the pedestrians ticketed would have been running out in front of moving cars.

^that's not a street, that's a really wide sidewalk, with room for six cars to drive side-by-side.
