greetings from vancouver off topic. just like to say, give that shit back man you don't deserve it. shit aint yours, try to return it, somebody else had to work hard to get it. if its a camera, post up an ad. if a person calls back about the camera, test him to see if its really his. ask him what were the last few thigns he took pictures of, etc. |
obviously you've also lost your brain and nobody has returned that back to you yet either.... |
i have found about 11 or 12 phones in my life....most were at the airport when i worked there....of that i sucsessfully returned 10 of them got rewards for a couple and one phone i gotta keep (the buddy was from outta town and told me to jsut mail his sim card and i could keep the phone) it pays to do the right thing besides if i lost anything i would want someone to find me and atleast try to return it |
yeah try to return it, rule of thumb is the title of the good still retains to the original owner, when you find it in a public area, you are creating a bailment situation(describes a legal relationship in common law where physical possession of personal property (chattels) is transferred from one person (the 'bailor') to another person (the 'bailee') who subsequently holds possession of the property), the possession of the good is with you, but the title of the good still remains with the original owner. Note that, once you picked this good up, you have a duty of care to take good care of it and take reasonable steps to return it to the owner, if the good is damaged while in your possession, and the original owner is found, he/she could sue for damages. Unless you just leave it and don't pick up, you don't have a duty of care towards its. If on the other hand, you picked it up in a private place, it should be returned to the place. |
