shitty jobs

hey, so i'm looking for a shitty job that pays pretty decent...
and so far i could only think of jobs that are in the construction industry, like either cleanup or general labourer...
what other industries or places would offer a shitty job with good pay?

door to door salesman for the southwestern publishing company.
get dropped off in a foreign city, asked to go door to door finding a place to stay, and then carrying 50lbs of books with you to peddle books door to door for 15hrs a day =)

enjoy.

The food industry sucks. Overworked underpaid.
Whereas warehousing would be underworked overpaid. Do it for a couple months, get seniority, and you'll be calling shots instead of doing anything.

jack_dangerous 03-09-2009 01:03 PM

i guess with the economy the way it is.. its hard to even get a labour job... been applyin everywhere, but no luck

Lenzin 03-09-2009 01:33 PM

Warehouse jobs usualy are decent paying gigs but you start at the botom of the barrel and really got to put in the time to work your way up the ladder.

But once your up there and in a union....it gets very slack!

Think about it. The pay is low but u usually get free food and hlaf price on ur food when u take. Sure saves a lot.

I worked in a plastic part production plant in Langley the summer of 2007. I was just going into Grade 10 at the time, and my mom hooked me up with a job that was $10.02 an hour STARTING. RIDICULOUS wages for someone my age at the time. The heat of the place sucked, but the work was pretty easy, if you have some heat/poking tolerance in your hands.

Now I make 2 bucks less working Crappy Tire's parts department, but I'm on the hunt to try to work at a garage on weekends.

LOL, I love this thread. Earlier I was thinking the same question. ...boils down to the summer's second job haha!

WAS at Surrey/Whalley. But they never gave me a uniform, and I never committed. So I technically quit, and now I'm doing the latter from my last post in here.

If you can find a job now. Auto body pays good if you want to do it for at least four years for an apprenticship
