This is so bizzarre. Could of been an attempt to see if anyone was home for break and entry... lol
One time, this guy kept knocking on my door. I was like WTF? My parents always told me to NEVER open my door for anybody because a) if it's someone in the family, they will have the keys (too bad if you leave your keys at home) or b) if you aren't expecting anyone, then don't expect anyone to just randomly be knocking
So then I was trying to ignore it, thinking it's probably just some donation, advertisement, etc, the guy was so damn persistent. I looked outside the window and saw this minivan. He went back to his car, then 2 minutes later, came back. I was like the hell, who is this guy??
Then another few minutes, my phone rings. So I just pick up. Didn't think anything would be connected. The guy on the other side goes, hello? Hello? Hey, you're home? open the door? I'm thinknig WTF???? and I just hung up. LOL. Got so scared.
From that day on, I never answer my home phone anymore. People that need me know to call my cell or contact me on MSN.
BTW, it turned out to be some guy that mows my lawn that just wanted to talk to my parents about the bill. That was really fked up....

Nvasion is right; I would've probably be like fuck off and hang up, but he knew my address/postal code/phone number and the name on the house, so I had to try to reason with him.
RRxtar: I'm going to give it a call in a day or so
StylinRed: I tried, it's not registered, so I'm guessing it's a cell phone. Couldn't find an address
Would you guys report it to the police and see what's up or just ignore it, until he calls again or tries something else?

Identity theft? The caller was just confirming the details?
I'd report it.

wtf? why would a restaurant have your postal code?
i'd report it. it may not be anything, but if it is, police have no way of knowing if it's linked to a possible string if you don't. it may not be an isolated incident

it was probably a prank call, where the guy continued to hassle you and you fell for it, its not hard getting a name, postal code, address, number off of mytelus.com or w.e

just tell them exactly what happened. tell them you just thought it was kinda fishy and that you felt you should report it, just in case there had been other occurrences

Tell them that you're looking for tiffany.
He'll say you're calling the wrong number and then you'll know.

Was it Lougheed Wonton Restaurant? My dad owns the restaurant. I'm pretty sure there's no one called Kenneth that works there. FML

soymilk: nope
Updates:
Well, my Uncle called them today and this is what happened
Call #1: "Hello, I'd like to order Chinese Food..." They hung up right away, not even "no/yes/fuck off etc"
Call #2: "I'd like to Order Chinese Food.." Hung up instantly again
Call #3: "Stop hanging up Asshole..I want to order Chinese Food.."
FINALLY they respond: "We don't make Chinese food here..." Then they hung up..
He heard about 3-5 guys in the background and we "investigated" a bit and found out the cell phone is registered in Delta, I think..?
I'm going to give the police a call tonight or tomorrow afternoon and report it. It doesn't hurt right? Better to be safe then sorry.
So the number is "604-717-3321" the non-emergency police line right?

I was sitting at my desk when I noticed something moving outside. I looked, and there was this dude creeping around the back yard!
So I got up, grabbed a tire iron, and ran at him fully intending to cave his skull in. At that point, after all those robberies and violations, I didn't give a shit.
Amazingly he didn't run away. He just said that he was someone from BC Hydro, checking our meter. He didn't look like a disgusting sketchy thief so I believed him |
