Jim Rome fans?

Anyone else a Jim Rome fan not happy with the new direction Team 1040 is going with there programming?

If you happen to be near a computer at work where you're allowed to stream you can still catch his show through Calgary's sports radio.

team1040 is doing the "correct" thing by pulling the JR show that maybe me and a select few will listen to. 1040 is soo beatdown by bandwagon buttfucks that the more canucks/local content they get out there, the more ppl get put to shame

I love hockey it's my favorite sport by a long shot. I listen to Team 1040 about 45 hours a week so having Jim Rome for those 3 hours a day was a nice break from the hockey talk. I want to know whats happening in the NFL and I even enjoy hearing about the NBA and MLB although I'm not really a fan of either sports. I totally think this is a horrible move but thats just me. They say the listeners want it so maybe I'm in the minority.

Jim Rome is an acquired taste but the more you listen the better he gets. I hated the guy at first but over the years he's because the best part of 1040's programming. I'll still listen but I'll stream it now, it sucks that when I'm out of the office between 9-12 I won't get to hear him anymore.

btw: for those of you who don't know

Quote:
Rome gained notoriety for an incident in his ESPN2 show Talk2 in 1994 when he repeatedly called NFL quarterback Jim Everett "Chris" (after Chris Evert, the female tennis player), from the argument that Everett shied away from getting hit. Appearing as a guest on the show, Everett warned Rome about repeating the insult and then challenged Rome to do so. When Rome did, Everett overturned the table between them and shoved Rome to the floor while still on the air.

Jim Rome is amazingly talented... he can pack a 45-minute show into a mere 3 hours!

^+1. There are two sports I have any particular interest in: hockey (NHL and WHL), and CFL football. Rome very rarely even mentions the former, let alone spends any time on it, and of course, never has a peep about the latter. So what's the point in listening to him more than rarely?
